make sure the server you connect to does excist. Try on different servers. Also make sure your firewall isn't blocking MTA

We have identified the bug. As suspected this bug haapends when the client can not find the motd on our website. To prevent this from happening open up mta.ini that is located in the same folder in a text editor and set DontGetLatest to 1 DontGetLatest=1

We can't do good for everyone and we can't change everything at once. does the term BETA ring a bell? If you don't like it play something else.

I had the same problem myself on the laptop today. Installed MTA, didn't work. rebooted and still refused. So i turned my laptop off and put it away. Now i just booted it again cause i wanted to troubleshoot the problem and it is gone ...

We have been working hard the past weeks. You know what time it is in germany and yet we are still up, looking for big problems after the public release. We worked hard and it is still beta. Errors still happen. And in general at this moment it looks like we don't have verry big problems.We have been working verry hard, you have a problem and you call it a piece of shit after 5 minutes, you don't even give us a chance to respond. Have you checked what other programs are running? MTA checks the name of every window that is open, of every running process on your system and if it finds something suspicious it shuts you down with a suspected trainer usage. Hell even i encountered it for being on a site.

and as far as i know we moved the progress bar to 65% only some weeks ago and not 6 months ago. Blue has been under development for 16 months now. It's a big project and big projects need time

and don't be surprised if there's nothing ... at the moment there are no plans for another release before blue. It will just depend on different variables

we always make changes. Sometimes ppl like em sometimes we don't. JonChappell you made a good point and a bad one. Indeed we never stated what areas in GTA3 would be available but in the past we also stated that 0.4.1 would be the last one before blue and here we have 0.4.5 so don't be surprised if we find another rabbit in our hat in the next weeks.

As you all have noticed we had some problems with our webserver yesterday. At this moment t is unclear what exactly went wrong but everything is up and running again. We are also still working on our next release. We are almost done and are just finishing things off. It shoudn′t be too long now. Hang in there

No, completly normal. When you put one function in it is possible you break another function, or sometimes we decide to do something clompletly different and have to rewrite a lot. We have had blue in a state before where we could play and then a couple of days later we coudn't even connect to the server. and it's that way in any project.

yes, comment out that line again. The gameip line is intended for machines with multiple nics so that you can specify what nic/ip to use.

As i said before. It has nothing to do with the board and everything with the server it runs on. You can never make a board go fast on a server that is under heavy load.

The irradic opening of posts is related to avatars. We used a mod to resize remote avatars. The problem was that a page would only load after the avatars were resized. So when an avatar was on slow hosting or did no longer excist you had to wait a long time for a thread to load.

we have always been and we will always use phpBB. There is no real spoeed difference between ipb and phpbb. It all depends on the server and where you are from. phpBB is verry versatile, easy modable and there is a lot of support. The list of mods is endless.
