Mm thats interesting that the game pauses when you alt+tab, could you incorperate the code for running the game windowed into your DLL please? As for the game pausing there is a memory address you can set that stops it from pausing when alt+tabbed, seeing as how you guys have direct hook on the engine it shouldn't be too hard to implement but hey you guys are the pro's and maybe im wrong.

*cough*celeron*cough* I think an AMD Athlon XP that runs at 1.0ghz would be more powerful than your 2.40ghz celeron, my friend had a 2.40ghz celeron for awhile but he upgraded when he saw my old P3 box was running faster You seriously need a new cpu

Hey guys i've just downloaded your first RC and i've noticed some problems. 1) The game won't alt+tab. You have to press CTRL+ALT+DEL and get into task manager then right click it and choose minimize and if you don't do it fast enough it still takes over the screen on top of task manager. Try and fix this in the next release. 2) First time I used the server browser it loaded up the list of servers but didn't get the names or the playercount and every server said timeout. I clicked refresh and it got the names and I went on a server, after that I can't get it to load the names & playercount or connect to any servers again. Try and make the serverlist more responsive. 3) Map editor doesn't have correct controls, pressing A or D will actually turn the view instead of sidestepping it I'm suprised that bug didn't get found during your testing because I don't think the arrow keys will move the editor at all? Ah well, good work on this release and I can't wait for the deathmatch release.

Haha yea don't get me started on Ventrilo, tried it for about 10 mins then went straight back to Teamspeak. Those poor Ventrilo saps don't know what they're missing out on (and yea they're poor since they have to pay for their server )

You can put the big text on the client as a splash screen, hard not to notice that!

Well that's why I suggest to put them on a seperate subdomain. If you write everywhere that these builds are not releases and are development and will contain lots of bugs and errors and such then people will be more likely to go for the stable working ones thus preserving your image. You don't have to offer support on these since they are development just write in large text that they are unsupported and riddled with bugs.

Hey guys i'm just wondering. Would it possible for you to release development builds of MTA. I don't care that they aren't finished, have major stability problems and have lots of bugs but it'd be cool to play them none the less. Maybe make a subdomain like dev.mtav.com or something? Just write everywhere that you do not support these builds and will not answer questions related to them to avoid headaches Just a thought....

Indeed it is, I lost my GTA3 original ages ago so I can't be bothered finding it and checking which one plays better im just going to say the mod is better

Liberty City mod is a lot smoother than GTA3. Very nice. GTA3 original isn't as good as the mod.

But the liberty city mod will make it just like GTA3 anyway.
