You have to bear in mind that MTA is far from finished. As Kent says, they're researching it and hopefully they'll add them in a later version.

It could be that they don't allow external links, because going to the main site and navigating through to the images worked ok. (They were nice, btw).

It shouldn't cause too much lag. All it really needs to do is send data containing the current time to the client only when it joins the game, and the rest will be handled locally.

Yep, that's right. They're syncing the time which syncs everything else like traffic lights, radio stations (I think), etc.

It depends how much you sell it for. If you try to pass it off as the original, it probably won't work, but if you sell it for a couple of quid people will pay it due to the high prices of new games.

How do you find games with GTAT? It's not ASE supported, so does it have an in-game browser?

Yeah, I buy lots of old games from eBay. They're quite rare, so they cost a fair bit (which is quite annoying as you can download them for free off abandonware sites), yet it's nice to have the proper disk, the proper packaging etc. I dunno... it's just a psychological thing I guess.

Like I said - never tried it myself. However, I have found that having the latest drivers doesn't necessarily fix the problem. For example, I used to have a problem with Battlefield 1942 where only 1 driver would actually work with the game (which was an old driver), but this old driver broke compatibility with some of my newer games. The problem's been fixed now, but you could try experimenting with different versions. You say in your opening post that you reinstalled VC. Was this because of a reformat? If so, you probably downloaded the latest drivers as soon as you reinstalled, which may have broken compatibility.

The great thing about cards with FSAA is that you can put the game on low-res and use FSAA to smooth the jagged edges. Or at least, that's the idea - never tried it myself.

Ah yeah. Some people have lives. I forgot. Anyway, copying the files in your My Docs\GTA III User Files folder should save your bacon. There are 2 files - one for your saved game and the other for your settings. It's probably best if you backup both.
