  1. Yes, there are different skins for each set. You cannot however select the individual skin within a set at this point. For example, if you choose the mexican, there is from what I can remember 3 skins with that set (brown shirt, orange shirt, white/red shirt). You will see, just wait.
  2. That would be a negative The "crawling" issue is actually the character playing dead, and it is still often there. It fixes itself the first time a new animation is done (jump, shooting, etc...) or when you run into the player yourself. So if you see someone on the ground playing dead, but moving, just run into them
  3. Sweet, I would definately like to check this one out.
  4. Wait and see, things may be fixed with 0.2 or may be broken, we haven't tested it enough to be able to say one way or another.
  5. VooDooMan Call me an idiot, as I feel that you are one. If you cannot respect us, then go find somewhere else to nag, as we could not care less about people like you.
  6. I cannot speak for MTA 0.3b, as I was not part of the team then, but we NEVER said that any game modes other than basic deathmatch were going to be implemented in MTA:VC 0.1 or MTA:VC 0.2. Do some research before posting please. Last time I checked this forum is hosted by MTA and is 99% dedicated to MTA. I cannot imagine why many people would "put down" gtat, can you? C'mon now, you have to remember your audience when posting things or you will never gain respect. Wait and see.
  7. The scoreboard is long since done, but the data that populates the scoreboard is what needs work. As xerox stated, it is hard to determine which player killed who and how, so we will have to continue to try and tweak it.
  8. I would have to agree with Wheezle. MTA only states what we know will be in the next release, whereas up until this point gtat always posts what they they will be done, rather than what they know. Wait and see what they truly have completed.
  9. I used to have that same card with 32mb and yes, there was choppiness if you wanted to run it at anything higher than 640x480. Obviously, you have a fairly good system otherwise, so it may compensate enough for you to be satisfied, but it will be hard to tell at this point.
  10. You gotta love people that cry about others with no backup at all. Allyson, you flat out impersonated a team member, which using common sense would have stopped you from doing that. You were banned on a single server, live with it. Evil_Shady, you have constantly broken the rules throughout the entire MTA Community and therefore deserve to be banned. Chances are we will be starting quite fresh when we eventually release a future version, so smarten up and all _might_ be forgotten.

I would not buy GTA3 just for the sole purpose of playing the currently released version of the game. I do think you should buy it because it is an awesome game and it would help support the developers.
  12. We have asked for any information that would help us along the way and we have not received a response as of yet.
  13. That is definitely something that you will have to contact Rockstar about. We have not done any changes that would cause such a thing to happen.
  14. Passenger code is not available in MTA:VC 0.1, but will be in MTA:VC 0.2. MTA:VC 0.2 is NOT released, and will be when we are ready.
  15. The Configuration File and the Admin Server are your friends.
  16. MrBump's modified Client is an old version of the MTA:VC 0.2 code before we changed around some of the netcode. So, it cannot be released.
  17. Last time I checked Rockstar had the source code to the game so that they may do anything they want with it. Oh, and also, from my little knowledge (snicker) of MTA, we DO NOT have the source code and therefore are left with the constraints that Rockstar has put in place. Please do some research before spouting off that "the authors" (us) should check out the code of an entirely different game. What everyone needs to understand is that MTA has to be built around the constraints put in place by Rockstar. Therefore, we CANNOT add more than approxmiately 36 actors at any given time (from our initial testing). This means that if you have a 32 Player Server, that there would only be able to have 4 Peds active within the ENTIRE City. Boy, that would be fun and worth all the extra work, wouldn't it? Thanks for sharing I guess? Last time I checked GTA3 / GTA:VC are NOT MMORPG's and are programmed very differently. Those authors also once again have access to the source code and therefore can optimize / alter what they want and when they want to. To everyone. You HAVE to remember what we are doing. We are hacking the game to allow support for Multiplayer. We have never been given the source code of the game. We have never been given any information from Rockstar to help us on the way. We are learning all of the game-specific stuff on the fly and we are doing the best we can to manipulate the original constraints from Rockstar and make them work for us. Be happy with what you have and try to understand what you are requesting before you demand we should add this, or put this there. Just think that maybe we have not put them in the mod because it is not possible at this point. Think...
  18. Well, I will answer this on a personal level. I learned programming through 2 ways: 1) Home Learning - Researching things on my own and playing around here and there 2) College - Currently enrolled in 5th Semester of a Computer Programming & Analysis Co-Op Program at Seneca College (Ontario, Canada). I "learned" how to hack around with GTA by essentially doing just that, hacking. The team has come together and has essentially hacked and programmed this mod to the point it is now. Pretty cool if you think of it

  20. Since we will be moving to a single Client for both games, this is somewhat pointless to even poll on. So, instead of having two seperates "names" for the mod, we will be using a single name (MTA) that will represent both (as they will be intergrated together in a single Client / Server combination).
  21. Just to keep you guys updated, we have put this in the latest Server build and it will be put through testing at some point. Thanks for the idea.
  22. Let you know about what? Why would we "release" 0.2 to be played when it is not ready just so that you can play it at a LAN? We do hope you play MTA:VC 0.1 and spread the word about us, but we cannot release something that is not finished if we are not even going to be there to help support it.
  23. You must be setting up ASE wrong. There is hundreds of people (usually between 200 - 400) playing at any given time. Something is definitely wrong with your ASE setup.
  24. We have already implement more than half of the in-client server browser, but we have haulted development on it right now to concentrate on the next version of the mod. We will continue this and it will eventually be an option. As I said, we have already completed quite a bit of it, so it is somewhat pointless to bring even another person in to rewrite what is already quite good. Good work on the tool though, seems interesting.
  25. That is extremely weird. I would advise contacting udpsoft about that problem.
