  1. You are using MTA 0.1 people, remember that. This is NOT perfect and has problems. Live with it for now as we can only do so much for FREE.
  2. Data: Create the start menu options. Do not choose to "not" create them as this seems to be a problem, funny enough. ProstheticWilly: We all get these errors. We are hacking the program remember, give it time.
  3. Somehow other Clients are not seeing that you are actually in a vehicle. Try another version of GTA:VC if possible (1.0 / 1.1). It _may_ help things
  4. Try the Problems and Bugs forum, where something like this should be posted. This is a well layed out solution for 95% of the problems you are experiencing ... just take the time to read.
  5. They usually change some important data files as well, which MTA also has to change (in this case, make a new copy of)
  6. _The_Nothing_ Come to IRC so we can support you properly...
  7. Try selecting different versions of the game. It may work.
  8. Good luck to GGM, we wish you all the best!
  9. Also, try connecting to the server, go in game. When it disconnects, alt-tab out connect again. It may just be a data flood issue or something. Usually happens with pinging.
  10. One release at a time guys. The future is bright for MTA it seems!
  11. Update your filters and configure the official entry.
  12. Cray

    Error with ASE

Official ASE support is now available. Update your filters through the File menu, then add the correct entr. Configure the game and your done.
  13. MTA is officially supported now. Update your filters through the File menu and then configure the game. Done.
  14. This is fixed now, update your Filters in ASE through the File menu.
  15. Inky: the swat question: That problem actually sounds like you have either installed incorrectly or not using the correct version in the Client for what game you are actually running. Timeout / disconnect issue: If you keep timing out, but the Client does not close, then try again or try another Server. This has to do with your ping / routing to that particular Server. Client Closing issue: If the Client closes without an error, we have no idea what is going on yet. We will be taking steps over the next week to debug this.
  16. The first thing to try, always, is the Game Version if the problem occurs while on the loading screen / just after. Even if you "think" you have 1.0 and it crashes, try 1.1. Either you just selected the wrong version, or you crack is making vice to look like another version.
  17. Alright, first off you may want to read the clientreadme.txt. But I will outline this here. Here are the common solutions for this error: - Make sure you have selected the correct game version in the Client BEFORE going in game. If you do not then the changes the Client makes on the fly will be pointing to the wrong areas in memory. - Make sure you are using english (american.gxt), or if you have selected a different language please move everything except american.gxt to the MTA folder. - Make sure mta.scm exists in the data folder of vice city and you have read permissions on it - Try to run the Client and Game in Win98 Compatibility mode. In the end, try the original exe's for either 1.0 and 1.1 and select the proper game version. If all of these don't work, then something else is going on.
  18. ProstheticWilly: we are evaluating our options for this and the next version will hopefully have this. No promises PandaFusion: Your not retarded, it happens. Helping is 1/2 of what we are here for (the other half being development). Glad it is working for both of you, it makes our days!
  19. There is no walking animation synced, hence glide / float. We have no idea about the new netcode. What we have is quite good, but not perfect for Clients. Server netcode is a hog which will have to be heavily optimized. This is 0.1 remember.
  20. Due to many differences in opinion, helping each other is not an option right now.
  21. Also try ASE. Read the clientreadme.txt to add support for it now, as it is not officially supporting MTA in the filters.txt yet
  22. I agree ... bug fixes do not warrant minor version changes, they warrant revision ... MAJOR.MINOR.REVISION
  23. Usually the cracks work, but it _could_ be that. This sounds like a problem with either the mta.scm not existing in the data directory, or the fact that you are selecting one version in the client (1.0 or 1.1), yet using a different one. Make sure the version you select in the Client is the same version you are running, or things like this will happen. Let us know.
