  1. Yes, MTA 0.5 provides GTA3 support. Race is only for San Andreas. http://www.gonnaplay.com/fileInfo.php?g=201&f=23
  2. I remember that HTML sigs were deactivated a while back. I don't know if they were ever allowed again. By the sounds of things, evidently not.
  3. Beta will be a lot shorter because we're testing features as they're adding them to the alphas, and a lot of bugs have been fixed already.
  4. There was a recent blog post that mentioned various team functions: http://www.mtavc.com/blog/
  5. Why would you need DivX *and* QuickTime? They're normally AVIs that QT can't even play. However, I agree that it would be good to have a YouTube alternative for people who don't have the proper codecs or run a different OS *cough*. I don't think videos should be exclusive on YouTube because the quality is lower and people can't mirror it.
  6. You have to download Flash in order to view it...
  7. So presumably the anims would only work for spectators?
  8. Is that in single player SA? Things that aren't in single player are very difficult to implement, and probably won't be added.
  9. Wouldn't be possible in MP. It's not impossible, just very difficult to do properly. It would take a long time as well.
  10. They plan to return to Vice City at a later date. http://www.mtablue.info
  11. They've removed the picture now.
  12. Pretty much possible that it won't even release i suppose.. No.
  13. Btw, just to clarify, the SDK will not be released at the same time as MTA:SA DM. It will be released at some point afterwards, but no-one knows when at this stage.
  14. I remember that there was discussion about that amongst the QA team. Some people wanted maximum stats, whilst others wanted mid-range stats in order to balance the game more and give more of a challenge. In the end, they discarded both ideas and went for something else. [/mystery]
  15. Actually, several features were recently pushed back to later releases. This is due to the fact that due to various real-life issues, our active coding team had been very small for a month or so. At one point, only one person was actively programming. Luckily they're all back now, and the mod is back on track. The features that were pushed back were of the "cool and fun but not 100% essential" variety. The features remaining to be implemented are essential ones. We don't want to have to make too many core changes to the .map file structure later on, as it will render previous maps incompatible, so the team must get it right the first time. I doubt it will be released this month, but hopefully you will not have to wait too long for a release.
  16. Happy (belated) birthday
  17. But the files are loaded into memory and MTA modifies the game's memory, so surely it is possible?
  18. Also, even if it did involve that, they don't have access to the single player code.
  19. If they don't make it, who will? It would require a significant code rewrite.
  20. Well, there could always be character limits and maximum time limits.
  21. http://www.videolan.org I think I saw it on YouTube as well. As far as I'm aware, you just need Flash for YouTube, no extras required.
  22. I remember a while back someone from a hosting company requested that you could set the IP. I can't remember why but they said that they couldn't host the game without this functionality.
