  1. What about the camera hack that Racer_S also makes? That's really good for recording movies.
  2. I'm sure there will be a map editor if the Blue core is ever used for GTA3. SA is the priority now, then the team will work on VC and then they may work on GTA3 if there is enough demand.
  3. I don't even get spring break. They grudgingly give me Christmas, and that's it. You're lucky.

    Has GTA lost it?

It was GTA3. VC's beginning was good too, with the drug heist that went wrong. SA's beginning was very disappointing in my opinion. CJ just gets threatened by the corrupt policeman whose name I've forgotten. The end cutscene was disappointing too, but the last level was cool (I won't spoil it for those who haven't got that far).
  5. Well, nothing is completely hack-proof. However, it takes significantly longer for a cheater to find a security hole than it does for the MTA team to patch it.
  6. Anti-cheat servers feature a special definitions file that is used for cheat detection. Hopefully this will be updated soon so that this particular cheat can be caught.
  7. No, he meant that he had an idea for the next version of MTA, in which walking and shooting would be available. He then went on to mention his idea. His idea was not walking and shooting. A lot of "modes" can be created in the race map editor without the SDK; several modes will be possible in MTA:SA DM just by manipulating the map editor.
  8. People can vote for the map that they want to play on. I'd recommend getting GTA:SA for PC anyway, as the graphics are a LOT better and you can get PS2-style controllers for the PC. The only downside is a lack of co-op in the PC version, but the next major release of MTA:SA will feature deathmatch, as stated earlier. We also have our own map centre: http://center.mtasa.com where you can get an idea of some of the maps that are available.
  9. I went away on Tuesday visiting someone in my family with cancer , and came back today. Before I went away, I wrote a spectator system for Deathmatch that seems to work pretty well. Changing spectated player works like in Race, using Left and Right arrow. Also, Kent and I worked on some lag compensation code for shooting which also seems to work. Kent told me he was able to hit Oli running perpendicular to him with a Rifle with a decent ping, and aiming AT him (not infront of him). Shooting might still need some tweaks to work optimally but we're really happy with how it looks, and hell it's accurate. Ping compensation for shooting basically means you can hit moving players pretty accurately by aiming at them rather than trying to predict their future path to hit them. Walking and running is also very smooth. As far as I can tell, it's very close to Singleplayer smooth, also when running. Vehicle smoothness is also improved significantly from Race 1.1.1. Have a nice day!
  10. Actually, I was a member for about 2 years before becoming a moderator and a moderator for nearly a year or so before becoming a beta tester.
  11. Well, you just confirmed what I suspected, so I'm going to lock this thread as we don't support the use of illegal versions of the game.
  12. You can get those files from your original CD/DVD-ROM... if you bought the game, that is. The way you phrased your post would imply that you didn't, which means that we cannot help you as your game was illegally obtained.
  13. It will come out at some point. Remember that MTA:VC got all of the attention when VC was released, before they returned to GTA3 several releases later?

    Regions??

The region only makes a difference if the country in question censors the game and changes its content. Australia and Germany tend to do this.
  15. A green screen at startup would suggest that your graphics card drivers need updating. You can probably get them from IBM's web site.
  16. You're using a no-CD crack, aren't you?
  17. For more information about deathmatch, see the blog: http://www.mtavc.com/blog/
  18. Send me a PM with details of the problem and I'll try to sort it out for you.
  19. To change your GTA graphics settings, you must run single player and adjust them there. MTA doesn't offer the ability to change settings from within multiplayer at the moment.

    Bot

Sorry, the MTA team does not condone the usage of bots, even if you're just using them on your own server.
  21. You're absolutely right. It's taking far too long and I think we should give you a refund of the money that you paid for the mod.
