SOF2 allows mods, insane ones, and UT G.O.T.Y., but mostly new models and maps, no F*CKING trainers...... Yeah, mods can enhance the game (as long as everyone has the mod, obviously), but no online game blatantly supports cheaters in this way, so I don't see why MTA should be different.

Ah, you found this site via Google, didn't you? If you go to http://www.mtavc.com and click on the Forum link, it'll display a confirmation page with the rules.

I'm sure there are servers running them - the problem is that you can't tell without joining them. It should come up in the "game" tab of ASE or else the "rules" section.

This is a tiny suggestion, but nonetheless its implementation would be appreciated. Would it be possible to have your name highlighted in the scoreboard so that you don't have to scan down the list to find it? It's annoying when you're on a server with a large player count and you have to spend ages finding your score (particularly annoying if you're driving at the time).

It could be a routing problem with your ISP. Have you tried connecting to different servers in different countries?

I never had any problems watching it with WMP or Winamp. I just have the K-Lite Codec Pack installed, so I never have to worry about codecs I had the K-Lite codec pack too, but it still didn't work. I was using Media Player 10 though, which is a beta, but I don't really see what difference that would make. Anyway, Kus, I wouldn't worry about it because screens from the movie clip will be posted in the forum in the next couple of days (they've already posted one of them).

If I cast my mind back, I think someone had a similar problem ages ago, and it turned out to be their sound card / sound card drivers. I'd say update all of your drivers and see if it makes any difference.

I don't see why they wouldn't include stunt (as long as it worked with the new core, of course). I usually play on IyonUK's stunt server, but that was full today so I tried the next one down in the list (can't remember what it was called). Unfortunately, it turned out to be a cheat server (and they even had a link to a cheats site in the MOTD). As soon as I spawned, I warped across the map and got run over by a car killing n00b with a modified car. Personally, I think modding in stunt is probably even lower than modding in DM. Cheating against people better than you is (kind of) understandable, but cheating against yourself? Edit: Stupid quotes

I wondered that too. It turns out that The Examiner is an actual paper (I thought that Bump had made it up), and that's one of the adverts that they carry.

This doesn't even need the new core. It's possible to create a teamplay mode exactly as you described with the current version using MTAMA and Admin+.

Lots of people have this problem - it's where they've set the wrong version of VC in the MTA client. Try changing the version to see if it makes any difference.

When Core 0.4 comes out, we'll be excited for the first couple of days, and then we'll start longing for the next one.

That would be pretty cool, but I would never go to a stunt server. It's where most of the cheaters hang out. People used to think it was ok to cheat on stunt because they "weren't harming anybody". But with 0.4, the scoreboard changed to allow money, so it instantly became competitive.

Actually, I'd say MrBump rejects the most suggestions. The reason: he's the dev who posts the most. IJs hardly ever posts here, so he hardly ever rejects suggestions. I've also noticed that the team seem to prefer small suggestions - most likely because they have their own ideas as to where to take MTA in the future, yet some smaller ideas didn't occur to them (e.g. an altimeter was suggested for the Dodo).

It updates eye.exe for Doom 3 and Steam. When it restarts, it updates filters.txt for Doom 3, MTA 0.4.1 and IL-2.

Yeah, that's true. I think that MTAMA should be able to change the "game" parameter that MTA sends to ASE to account for this kind of thing (or something similar - this method would completely screw up the ASE filters).

The great thing about the new core is that the cheaters will have to spend time modifying or even re-writing their cheats, providing several weeks of cheat-free gameplay.

That is because it is AVI you need a AVI player Real time quick time divx ect. Yeah... obviously. I'm not that stupid. Also, I did try the DivX player but to no avail. But anyway, just for the record, I managed to get it working via Media Player Classic, recommended by Cray.
