At the moment you (nor we) can do anything about the texture problems popping up when you disable the frame limiter, since it's actually Rockstar's fault (thats why they've put it in probably, cause of the problems) MTA might lag a bit atm.. but that'll change with one of the next releases.

If you're using an australian GTA:VC version... the australian version isnt really working with MTA, you should try to update the exe file somehow. You might wanna try to update your GTA:VC game (exe) as well, it may help.

That'd mean we have to pack almost all files, since almost all files are moddable, and I dont think that's really legal. It's alot of work too. We can't really just set them to read-only so people wont be able to modify it. Setting it to read-only sounds is probably too easy to crack anyway.

MTA Programmers Ever think of expanding the use of MTA?
ijsf replied to conrad10781's topic in General MTA discussion
There are higher priorities at the moment.. -
Well, everything in the other video (Riding in the Rancher, the guy on foot, and the heli movement) look exactly like what I see now in MTA. But the Hummer movement is great! (Don't sound dense; but be honest. I'm not gonna sit here and lie about it. lol) Right.. you havent got an eye for smoothness then, or there's something else wrong (not with MTA).

GTA In Game Multiplayer Menu - By Rockstar
ijsf replied to Minister2100's topic in General GTA3:MTA 0.4 Discussion
aad (idiot).. we wont need that menu, you'll be amazed -
What also works (im running Windows 2003 Server, but i think there's also such a menu in XP Pro), always keep something like Task Manager open (select Always On Top). First alt+tab to Task Manager, it wont switch but Windows will put the focus on Task Manager anyway, then press ctrl+alt+del so you get the nice 'Lock system, Task Manager, Shutdown System'-menu, and press task manager. Then it'll return to windows, and you'll be able to see the Unhandled Exception error as well. Setting your game to the same res as your desktop might come in handy when you're doing this. Anyways, a fix to your crash might be using another no-cd patch (you gotta have the cd's though, otherwise it's illegal) or using v1.0 instead of v1.1 or v1.1 instead of v1.0.

Well i guess it wont work on win9x, but since Windows ME is some kind of weird version between Win98 technology and NT, you could try. Win9x misses some features or handles differently with memory altering.

It's basically illegal for us to spread VC copyrighted materials (files). I think it would be too large as well.

Enough.. Thread closed

Hey -head, dont consider Russia as some sort of isolated country, you dont even have respect for your own country. You're speaking as if you know everybody in Russia but you actually dont. Let me tell you, I might know people in Russia that played, play, and might play GTA3. You're just one of those guys who thinks he's speaking on behalf of his country all the time. You probably dont even bother to read these reactions on your flaming post. I should have actually banned your ass off this forum already. It's clear that you're a complete fool, congratulations with your Forum Idiot rank, and as you would say.. "enjoy :P"

We have to understand there's nothing wrong with talking about no-cd cracks, as long as the game is bought, which it isn't in most cases. Blaat..

It was fun, although i was not there all the time. Yeah.. good beta test.

Sorry, i was testing the proxy bot.. you're unklined now

if you runned it in screen (it continues if you exit a ssh shell), just: - use top to look for the process - use killall followed by the name of the process (probably mtaserver) to kill it

Tell them to update their MIME types.. it's very annoying to download the movie when your browser's showing you the data in a page instead of "Do you want to download this file?". Weird, i can't download it.
