  1. Actually Blokker I was in the Team for a while before making the stunt version, which was agreed on after seeing problems people had trying to stunt in 0.1, so it didnt just appear under your doorstep as it were
  2. Why should everyone who wishes to see this movie have to go through the laborious process of finding and registering for both a temp email and fileplanet itself? Everyone else seems to manage to host films without requiring this.

    That wouldnt be possible with the current core as it would require a ground up rewrite, it would also increase the potential load ona server greatly, both cpu and bandwidth. The above options however are not only possible but simple for this core.
  4. This has been considered before, and rejected. I'm sure most players are aware what often happens when u 'pause' and then return to the game, you crash shortly afterwards. Handling spawn choice in the way you suggest would be the same, you'd effectively be paused, recieving and sending no data. The alternative, disconnecting entirely to choose, then reconnecting to spawn, would have all sorts of problems, loss of your place on the server and your score for instance.

  6. Quite simply I edited the animations of the bladed weapons to allow them to work, as we can succesfully sync the ones now used, whereas we could not sync the standard ones. Although it means a slightly less stylish set of Katana moves it DOES mean you get to play with 3 new melee weapons. note: The damage is not edited.
  7. You can, up to a point. Admin can kill players (5 slaps), reset scores and reset money (gta3/stunt). All of which can be incorperated in mtama scripted game modes. FFA 30 min rounds is simplicity itself.
  8. If you preferred the Swoops'n'Scan spawn menu then I'm sure there are still some 0.4 servers running that you can play on. Personally I'd rather see what we have now and not have to restart my game every time i die
  9. 'Your' Terminator sounds pretty much the same as mine hehe btw, Terminator (without specific skins allocation) is now more than possible with Admin+, including not allowing them to drive etc

  11. No, i think cray is referring to the delay being a quick fix for some of the spawncrash problems. Personally i have only found spawnkilling in this manner a problem when theres a 'robber war', and anything that discourages that unimaginative happening is a good thing.. In other circumstances i find there's less spawnkilling than in 0.3 due to having 3 or 4 random locations that the players appear in. Unlike the previous fixed position. And as before, if somebody repeatedly spawnkills then warn them off, and if they continue, get an admin to deal with them.
  12. Unlocked again as they do seem to have seen the error of thier ways and removed any cheating references on thier site, even swayed the other way and have some anti-cheater sections. Everyone deserves a second chance, when it comes to a simple forum thread anyway.
  13. Its really quite simple, either open the config in notepad and read the commenting, or use the admintool, read the readme.txt that came with the server, check the faq, the support board. The instructions are all over the place, from basic to extra simple for the hard of intelligence. Surely it takes less time and effort to read the doc's than to register and post on a forum?

    The only problem i foresee with this is how easily someone could enter a 'cheat' or 'mod' server without realising, especially someone new to the mod. Then leave thinking MTA servers are entirely full of cheaters, nothing is syncd, and that MTA crashes 10x more than it in fact does in the more controlled environment we have at the moment. An alternative could be releasing a slightly altered version (server/client), with crc removed that could ONLY connect to its own server, not to 'normal' ones. This would cater for the many modders out there yet keep the 'normal' mod safe and relatively stable for newcomers. The team have been discussing similar options to both cases above recently, but no decision either way has been reached. edit: Ive altered your poll to reflect the three options.
  15. If you are running the server locally try 127.0.0.1 if its on the same machine as admin, or the LAN IP if its on a networked machine.

  19. I dont really see the relevance of that Posty, presumably your talkign about ggm? Lets keep it on topic As we have to keep stressing, gta3mta is NOT simply mtavc in new (old) clothes, its an entirely new game and you shouldn't expect anything in gta3mta to appear in mtavc, or vice verca. i.e. Just because mtavc uses careers with fixed spawns this doesnt mean gta3mta will.

  21. I'm not aware of any other online games that allow you to change max-players without a restart. I really dont see any advantages other than saving 20 seconds, and many disadvantages security and access level wise.
