Quite simply because they are in totally different leagues to each other, the switch glitch was all but a cheat, making you move impossibly fast (in the other players POV) and warp from point to point. Making the chance of hitting you back very small indeed. You know this as youd been banned from several servers over and over for using that exploit. The jump glitch just makes you ..jump, and not fall over when hit, and use a little less ammo sometimes, (and loook really silly when some take it too far and hop all over the place even when not shooting lol). No big deal.

This is an issue with gta3 that we are aware of, we didnt however feel it was one serious enough to prevent release. Look on the bright side, if theres somebody JUST runnign people over they wont get any credit nor money for it, and some of the victims might, a kind of injury compensation

But a visit with a hacksaw and a Zippo made sure I could operate unchallenged. So it looks like I finally made it, The air taxi service has more customers than i can carry, It's often I see them fighting each other to get to my plane first, And the carpark provides a nice sideline in stolen cars, hell, you cant expect my customers to walk to my strip after all. From Pilot to President? Sure, why not? But only in Liberty.

Its a fairly safe bet that it wont effect the colourbug.

I think you missed xenexs point johnchappel, mta doesnt encourage the use of cracks but we don't go out of our way to prevent it either. getting the client to set version dependant on a crc of your client would prevent use of cracks altogether, as none will have standard vc.exes CRC or filesize, and some, tho VERY few have what they see as valid legal reasons for using one

In regard s to the last 'bug' its funny because if you reverse it, and do the action before the text it works fine. Now, why wont mta.slap work? I'm having to use 'mta.say $1 /slap $mta.name($1,$2)' which is ok but why have an alias that doesnt work? (tho of course according to you it does, tho ive yet to see an example of it that does)

Lies! I didnt crash there, i pulled up and circled over the far cliffs (through tem actually as they are noclip) then divebombed the rocks u were on, followed by an attempt to land on the floating car the other side of you (failed, drowned )

There is a small solid area i believe, but blink and you'll miss it. And it isnt large enough to land a dodo on so ive not investigated it further

No, its 3.0 (download) which will then update to 3.3 or whatever aeron is up to now with all my nagging for changes/fixed/additions hehe

I really cant see defend and attack matches working in this initial phase of gta3mta0.4, seems much more sensible to work with what you have than try and enforce somethign that was developed for mtavc. Something more fitting would be timed matches with the highest scorers the winners at the end of it, score being kills. This evens it a little as nobody gets credit for a car kill, encouraging gunplay. Other than that why not come up with some gta3 match modes rather than try and crowbar the stale old vc ones into it. Capture the whoopie matches, or capture the dodo if you want 2 things to capture. (or even 3 dodos, 3 teams of 5 players with 3 dodos to capture would add a whole new twist). And thats not getting into turismo, chase modes (possible now that mtama knows how close your car is to someone elses) We cant emphasise enough that gta3mta is a whole new game, lets give it its own carefuly considered matchplay elements
