Very little profit? We get no financial profit. The whole Team however get an invaluable wealth of; Experience creating something unique, Working as a team, Satisfaction when the next version rolls out and ASE shows hundreds playing, Doing the 'impossible'*, Finding the annoying bug and squashing it (only to find more but thats another story), The positive reaction from our large, and very vocal, community, and last but by no means least The pleasure of down tools for a while to play our creation. (although for most thats a short period before moving on to the next few releases). Of course there are negatives too but lets concentrate on the positives *improbable

AK47 has range and power, flamer is only good close up. And with gta3 aim ranged weaps can be outstanding.
-
M16 was left out early on as we felt it was very overpowered, at that point we hadnt decided to make some weapon stat changes in GTA3.

Because everyone has game mode ideas, relatively few people have other suggestions to make, and the main forum section is much more active therefore the thread got the attention it deserved in there, and was left there. I would expect someone who was once a team member to know of the thread, I would also expect anyone, new or not, not to post an extremely long chat log. That's annoying enough in the quotewall thread let alone anywhere else. Now please restrict your posts to the topic in question rather than 'having a go' at the way we run the forums at the slightest opportunity.

It's not difficult to setup a forum on our host either, as i said in PM thankyou for the offer, but havgn a third location involved would just confuse matters even more. It's likely that we will compromise. A small forum on turfwar.mtaleague.com for challenges and results, and a thread or section on forum.mtavc.com for discussion and questions. -
I'm not reading all that. If you have suggestions for game modes please post them in the relevant thread here: http://forum.mtavc.com/viewtopic.php?t=2744 preferably as clearly and concisely as possible. thanks.

I would think that if not being allowed to car kill on a server is your main concern then trying to arrange one where you COULD might be an answer for you. Nicely written article on the whole, but really it all boils down to this seen near the end. Quote:'Here is the final word: As long as there is a balance between car killing and getting out of your car and using your weapons, you are doing the right thing.' Which is the problem. There is nothing wrong with someone whistling the first chorus of a Busted song. It's when they whistle it over and over and over and over and over again without pausing to draw breath that it becomes an irritation not an entertainment, and so it is with car kills. Its the people who car kill and car kill only, the ones that run to the next car as if terrified to face thier fellow players and let off a few hopeful shots in thier direction, these are the ones that fracture the thin ice of playability and cause people to plunge into the icy depths of typed insults and remote server bans. As i think has been covered pretty well in this thread up to now. Edit: A key point I forgot to mention: It is entirely up to those providing the server exactly what rules they apply to it. A host/ Admin can make a rule against saying FishFingers if they like. Nobody forces you to play there.

I do that, along with the arm women and the riot cheat too. Great fun in both games

Blokker asked people to submit templates for consideration in the template thread, the fact this wasnt deleted might tell you something. He didnt say we would comment on each one as it came in, i believe he said we would choose from the entries.

Its User Manual will say, or if he built it himself the Manual for the motherboard. If he doesnt have it then that information is easy to find on the www

Yes Try doing Turismo when the Mafia hate you. Two shotgun shots and boom. A vehicle is the same no matter wether a playeractor or a cpu controlled actor is driving it.
-
Career chosen can be identified in mtama, by checking the coords of a player that just died and matching them against a list of careers spawn areas. Pretty CPU intensive tho especially if you have a lot of other scripts running alongside. Something to consider for future admin+ connections maybe.
-
I see, it may be possible to do that for vehicles being shot, tho while so much differs in one players view to another, (ie you hitting the car your side but not thiers) it could lead to problems. Would also require a fair bit of rewriting. But a possibility none the less. As for the second, if anything we'd consider making less weapons knock people over not more. As once u are down you are dead unless your attacker gets distracted or has bad timing.

Read the manual, specifically the bit that says NO MODS.
-
It already is, and your weapons are a little more powerful than in SP. I'm not sure i follow regarding the baseball bat, you should already fall over when hit by one close-up

Oli sorry, yes. A mention for turfwars on the EU ste would be great (missed your post offering to until now)

TURFWARS !! BACK UP !! http://turfwar.wojjie.net
Si|ent replied to Si|ent's topic in Leagues and events
Well we are nearly ready to begin, the website is pretty much done bar a little content at http://turfwar.mtaleague.com BUT; Some thought need to be made about how we handle challenges and reporting of results, the options marcel and i have discussed so far are a thread on here (mta forums), even its own section if it proves popular enough, or a small phpBB forum on turfwar.mtaleague.com. The first two have the advantage of lots of passing viewers who may catch on and take part, the fact most people signed up already spend a lot of time here so dont have the hassle of adding an extra forum to thier favourites, and easy to integrate it with gang threads etc. The latter has the advantage of all the relevant info in one place, a clearly defined place to deal with all aspects and questions relating to the competition etc. So i guess its down to what you all would prefer, installing a forum on the site wouldnt take too much work, nor would arranging it on here. Of course once it is decided where, we need to decide how. An challenge thread, questions thread and a results thread? Dunno. Any ideas welcome as id rather spend a few days getting this RIGHT than start early and have it fall into confusion due to lack of forethought and organisation. -

That refers to the highly stylised Miami Police Department Vice Squad. Not a suburb of Miami itself.
