  1. Yep, I agree. The only one people seem to agree on is the Racer being weak, but as you say, he's no longer in 0.4 I'm looking forward to seeing his replacement.
  2. Ah yeah. I remember there was a topic before, and you said yes first but then discovered that traffic lights weren't synced with time. I only mentioned it out of curiousity anyway - I always ignore them in single player, so multiplayer's no different in that respect.
  3. I'm not sure if you've noticed but in all the screenshots they are stopped - it's because they are still screenshots and don't show movement... Lol, yeah, but he's stopped directly beneath the lights and they are red. I haven't heard any of the devs say that traffic lights aren't synced yet.
  4. Hmm... the first sentence implies no, but the second one seems to hint yes or no... I'm not sure.
  5. In the second screenshot, am I correct in thinking that AJH has stopped at the traffic lights (thereby implying that they are synced)?
  6. Disclaimer: There was a lot of text and I only read halfway. Why would Mr. Bump log into a server to check if there are cheaters and lag?? Cheaters and lag are server-dependent (i.e. cheaters are low if there's an admin, and lag is (generally) low if the server is fast. Generally.). And anyway, everyone knows that cheating is a problem. And also, why is he releasing screenshots to the Metropolitan Talent Agency?
  7. As far as I gathered, San Andreas was a "semi-sequel" like VC, and so unlikely to have "adventurous" features like multiplayer, which would be saved for GTA 4. That was my understanding, anyway.
  8. I translated it via Babelfish (and then translated it further myself ): There aren't any concrete details, and that's the only sentence regarding multiplayer - the rest goes on about the increased map size and the music.
  9. I very much doubt that thats not going to happen...eAi I suppose "sorting options" was a little vague. What I meant is that you click on the title text and the little arrow appears to indicate that it's being sorted (like on ASE).
  10. No, there is no client for Linux - only XP and 2000. It's the server that can run on Linux.
  11. I like the new scoreboard, however I reckon you should add sorting options so that you can see easily at a glance who has the highest score or who has accumulated the most cash.
  12. Well, the other games didn't have proper mod support, yet people still modded them, so yeah. And I don't see why the team wouldn't make MTA:SA (unless there were technical limitations, which there shouldn't be because it's the same engine).
  13. Not to mention those who play over a LAN or don't advertise their servers on ASE.
  14. You think MTA's late? I've been waiting for HL2 since it was announced 1-2 years ago, expected to see it in September, and I'm still waiting 6 months later. 3 and a half months are nothing, mate.
  15. There is no miniguun in mta ............... Yeah, anyone who has a minigun is cheating.
  16. I heard that they've fixed the aiming so that up and down aiming works properly, but I didn't hear anyone say it was nearly perfect.
  17. I'm more looking forward to the admins using spectator mode to stop cheaters. I don't really have much use for it myself, but it's a great indirect anti-cheat mechanism.
  18. I know what a sadist is, but you'd only know that he was a sadist if he said something like "I'm going to maim you because it's fun", thereby giving a reason. As for the rest of the story, I'm content with its believability.
  19. I would have thought that a desktop crash was due to the graphics card / drivers. That's what I used to get with Battlefield 1942. It stopped after I upgraded my drivers.
  20. Things you don't want are usually related to things you do want. For example, I don't want cheaters / lamers, so therefore I do want better anti-cheat features. You didn't want lots of skins because of lag problems. Therefore, you wanted better skin synchronisation. You have to think positively That's why there haven't been any other non-feature lists like this.
  21. Yes, but don't most blind people "see" by touch?
  22. What, and then he lets you go afterwards? Seems a little risky to me. You could go to the police or the local mafia and have them sort him out. If I was said sadist, I would either kill the person (and hence the choice would be pointless), or else keep them locked up (at which point all they'd be able to look at is an empty dark room and listen to me pointing out faults... so it's no major loss). Also, it seems strange for the bloke not to give a reason for maiming you. If my James Bond knowledge serves me correctly, most stereotypical one-dimensional cardboard cut-out baddies give their victims ample escape time by glowering and telling them their evil plans. After all, if you choose the hearing option, he will be unable to tell you his plans so that you can thwart them. If you choose the sight option, glowering and silent one-up-manship would be pointless.
  23. Ah yeah, but it's called GTA 3:MTA 0.3.5. The new one is just MTA 0.4, combining both GTA 3 and VC into one client. Generally, big updates usually have a large jump in number.
  24. What possible situation could arise whereby you'd be required to make such a choice?
  25. Well, I do drive on the pavement more than the road...
