Maybe he means can you enter in the dns of a server rather than the ip in the "Host:" box in the MTA client? I haven't tried that

I know that. I was thinking an addon for mIRC which would allow you to control mIRC from ingame. What are you people talking about? What do you mean everyone see the same messages? I don't think you understand. Looks like I will have to use an example: Ok, lets say I have mIRC minimized and I start a game of MTA. I want to be able to control mIRC from ingame and see the chat from the IRC chatroom that I am in. If any of you have used HLirc for Half-Life, I want something similar.

Sometimes they just sink rather than explode, but they respawn anyway. This has happened to me many times.

Hey, leave him alone. You should at least respect the fact that he is trying to learn about Linux. And as for myself: I duel-boot between WinXP and Gentoo just like you. I also run four Linux servers. Maybe next time, True, you won't judge a person that you don't even know.

I have found that GTA runs quicker when Norton AntiVirus "Auto Protect" is turned off. When I had it on, it took a long time for the menu to come up after the splash screen and my game went sort of slowly. Just thought you might want to add this to FAQs or whatever...

Holy sh*t you run your server as root!? That's dangerous...try running it as just "epsilon", don't try it as root. Btw, just a tip from me to you. Try using screen to run your servers.

That has gotta be one of the weakest lines I've ever heard And darkshadow, it is you who does not understand. THIS IS NOT COUNTER-STRIKE!!!!!! What you do not understand is this mod is meant so you can do anything you want to. Literally. This isn't a game that is so restricted in its rules. You do not HAVE to kill, you do not HAVE to do anything! That is the beauty of this mod being that you can choose how you have your fun. This is why classes (They are not necessarily teams) were put in. You can use each class for a different activity. I mainly prefer sailors (Sailors regenerate health) because I like to stunt and I know I will end up hurting myself. However, if you must insist on having a "team" game, call up some friends and get them to play MTA with you, like I always do.
