I am also having this very same problem. I don't know whether this has anything to do with it, but I am also having to reset the game path every time I join a game because it cannot find mta_dll.dll. I have uninstalled + deleted mta.ini several times, and I have had no success.

Of course the team is getting pissed! They should be getting pissed!

I find it very sad that MTA could reach such a pathetic state so quickly; a state where cheaters rule. I was dissappointed at the fact that I was able to find 5 cheaters using very obvious cheats in one of the official servers, and the admins afk on IRC.

Also, you would not only be cutting off 56k and below players, but players from other countries as well.

It seems that the kl.net servers don't have any admins. They are always littered with cheaters. Might want to stay away from those.

Even though in MTA this may not be the best idea, it is actually quite normal in a bugtraq to show the exploit and fix. It might have been better in this case for xhispage to PM the exploit to the one of the coders.

Some people may not have that kind of access to their server.

Yeah, it is hard to find a game without a cheater these days.

That is mean. No such script should be created. The problem with people is that they expect too much from MTA. They expect it to be perfect. That is their own problem, and you shouldn't try to satisfy such people by coming up with this script. Supposing you did create the script and run it. These same people will simply find something else to whine about.

Another solution, besides a fliptop shell, is to the use the R-Mod, a solderless mod-chip which allows you to open the tray to swap out the disc. Of course, fliptop costs a few more bucks but it doesn't mess with the inside of the PS2.

I read a little about Xploder, and it sounds pretty good. But, it doesn't seem to let you play backups; unless you can use a trick with it like the GameShark or Action Replay 2.

A fliptop shell is a PlayStation 2 shell which is meant for modding (Playing imports, backups, etc.) http://www.chipzone.com/shop/showdetl.c ... uct_ID=222 It basically changes the PS2 to use a lid on the DVD Drive instead of a tray. You then use the Swap Magic discs or Gameshark/Action Replay2 discs which stall the game loading process so you can insert your backup or import and play it. This is an easy alternative to installing a mod chip, which could ruin your system if a mistake is made during installation.

Really it doesn't matter what anyone says as long as this method produces positive results. I'll definately give this a go once I get a new card. Blokker, you've been pwned. Get over it.
