Did you never run a setup/installed drivers or a program before? Simply download the files and run them (no matter where they are located - simply your Downloads folder) & proceed installing each of them. They are not related to MTA so they don't need a specific location to be placed into.

Install this Windows update, having the same installed but in corrupted state is known to cause this: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=49082 Also update with these drivers: 1) https://downloadmirror.intel.com/20775/eng/SetupChipset.exe (chipset) 2) https://downloadmirror.intel.com/25978/eng/win64_153631.4414.exe (graphics, if it won't install due to Windows 8 instead of 8.1, use https://downloadmirror.intel.com/25143/eng/win64_153623.exe Eventhough MTA doesnt need it, since it's involved in the problem as I see - first uninstall and then update C++ 2012 redist: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679 (not needed to understand, but for the record..) I did some research, your Windows kernel is crashing MTA through a service exception with either as result/symptom (or contributing factor) C++ redist fault. Again this can be due to MTA being unable to cope with the compatibility settings that were forced onto the launcher (like 640 x 480) so please check if those are enabled as I asked before. Are you running Win8 on that MacBook through an VM or just clean OS install/bootcamp?

Please copy and paste the log into this topic. Besides that, do you also have the loading hang like TS did? Can you connect fine to a local server if you start one through serverlauncher?

I must say it's not the ordinary case of taskbar persistently overlapping, it's yes.. weird because it's also magnified to a certain part only and enlarged. First.. Please download, extract and run MTADiag and follow the instructions. Press 'n' when asked. Post any Pastebin URL MTADiag gives you in this topic Are you using borderless mode, or fullscreen? Did you change any graphics settings like that recently? Right-click the MTA launcher and make sure under compatibility tab, nothing is selected such as ''use 640 x 480'' mode. (check/remove this on both the launcher in MTA programfiles and eventually desktop shortcut) It can be for some random reason your Windows flagged MTA as a program with compatibility issues, and applied compatibility mode to it like 640 x 480, which bugs it out as it does. The taskbar resolution lets me suspect so.

Please stay ontopic, talk about the subject: pairs vs ipairs instead of a personal competition.

It's true some people are overly worried about security and paranoid. I hope for Epozide he follows the instructions or else he just can't get it to work properly again, it's his call. But as I said there's still some caution involved; who knows if the dll file was arbitrarily infected by another virus his AV doesnt detect; hence why I asked him to provide me the file, so I can verify the detection nature and take his worries for whitelisting and submitting a falsepositive report away.

MTA doesn't pack malicious files and as you see it's a generic detection; chromium CEF files have caused quite some false positives before. Once again as I asked please zip up and send the dll it says is infected; after researching the file integrity (that it wasnt infected/injected by another virus present on your PC) only then I can safely advise you to whitelist the file so the scanner ignores it. That would only solve your problem, or the antivirus must get a fix of the false positive from its maker (to speed this up you could submit it as a false positive to them)

Is the dll file it detects cefweb.dll and is the MTADiag log you provided from before your antivirus managed to delete it? (as you were testing with disabled antivirus) Most likely a false positive, or another virus on your PC is injecting malicious code into the dll affected (the primary virus not being detected, but infecting other files in the background..) you know best which DLL file is detected/deleted, so please temporarily disable antivirus and then zip up that dll file (disabled antivirus allows you to reach and archive the file) and password the dll ''infected'' & upload to http://upload.mtasa.com and post the file link in this topic please. Do you mean it's some kind of heuristics detection (like ''high risk'' or ''behaves like malware'') or a concrete signature detection (please tell me the name of virus it seems to detect if so)

Please download, extract and run MTADiag and follow the instructions. Press 'n' when asked. Post any Pastebin URL MTADiag gives you in this topic I'm still going to ask you to atleast temporarily disable your anti-virus and trying to launch MTA/connect there in the minute it's disabled. Because you can easily exclude the problem being related to the issue with this method. Please try that and let know or the support will end here (knowing whether or not it's related is vital) Also, when trying these steps make sure to first re-install MTA (as you said the dll was deleted by antivirus) after disabling the AV temporarily. Please also name which dll and if you get the chance, attach two MTADiag logs (one of before you re-installed MTA/disabled antivirus and one after)

Good. But unfortunately until Microsoft solves the problem or MTA patches it with workaround once the cause is known, you'll have to either live with Borderless mode (which provides subpar graphics quality and lower brightness textures, looks worse to the eyes) or keep fullscreen and time after time solve the blackscree with the Windows key + P method I explained. (or close MTA in taskmanager instead of 'quit' but that can have possible negative consequences

Did you customize the admin code? Make sure acl.xml still has rights for ''admin'' or try to run with the default acl to exclude the possibility it's corrupted. (incase that immediately works).. If you don't recall changing anything in the admin resource recently, try running the default admin resource (from https://mirror.multitheftauto.com/mtasa/resources/) Incase you edited admin recently, assume those changes broke it, and revert them or open a scripting support topic/debug it.

Can you screenshot the error and post it here?

It's a known problem with Windows 10 & some hardware/driver configurations, I have it too and you can also solve it by holding Windows key + P then as you cannot see what you're selecting (black screen) keep hitting arrow-down and enter after each arrow down press, this way you will force another ''projection'' mode and force-reset dwm (Desktop Window Manager is causing the problem) But playing in borderless mode as ccw said is the best structural solution. same problem: https://forum.multitheftauto.com/topic/89371-both-monitors-produce-black-screen-on-exit/ It started somewhere with Windows 10 updates, also did for me. I noticed on windows support forums they shown no interest in fixing/forwarding the issue, only suggested windows key + P just as I did.

Take some time to try find the appropiate place to appeal your ban, most servers have some sort of forum/site where you can contact its owner/staff through ban appeal. Just the VK page might not cut it (the one you named earlier) that not being a desired place to appeal bans in may be the reason they just deleted it (wild guess) who knows if that was even their official.. Try find an site or their forums by goog'ling server name, IP:port, etcetera. If you cannot find it, post the server's IP:port here so we can assist you in researching if an site for ban appeal exists. Know this isn't the end - there's many more servers similar to your one favorite like that, out there. Even if you cant find a way to successfully appeal the ban / get unbanned you got plenty of alternative servers left on MTA.

How long dose it take to have the MTA server activaited
Dutchman101 replied to px234's question in Server
Please clarify; is the server 'pending' to be activated by Vortexservers after purchase, or do you mean it's A) not online as you cannot reach it with MTA client or B) not visible in the server browser yet? -
In this case the bump is actually acceptable, because your usage of this script depends on it. But if the creator will notice/still have the uncompiled is a bet.

Please attach the whole MTADiag link from your clipboard that it gives after it completes, instead of only a part.

Maybe it sounds familiar to you because of ''NG'' prefixes, but NG is a public gamemode (NerdGaming) refer to: https://github.com/braydondavis/Nerd-Gaming-Public Thanks for the report and worries but totally fine.

Tohuwabohu server (Black screen problem after 5 years successful running)
Dutchman101 replied to Radeon's question in Server
Did you re-install the OS of the server machine already? Moved the whole server directory to a secondary test host and tried to run from there? Pull up a backup and don't touch anything before running (don't think about ''re-adding what would be lost from a rollback'') on the same server machine, and after that on a secondary. Dont try to minimalize a rollback, nor update anything, just run a complete server dir backup from when it still worked. Don't only re-install the server OS, also if present re-configure/totally reset the service from a Hosting company control panel (again, if they offer such a thing). If the moved server files run without problems on a test host, they can't deny the problem is with their host. If they still do so I advise to find another host, if they won't investigate further. Open commandprompt on a PC having the joining issues, and enter tracert [your server IP] then post the output log in this topic. If your hoster offers a control panel as I named before, go there and look for a firewall setting and configuration (some hosters offer a second firewall ontop of OS, on a low level like the hosting control panel) and disable any filtering or connection rules/toggle the firewall layer off if possible. -
