-
and i may be the board admin, that does not mean that i know what is going on on this board. i don't read everything, that's why we have super mods and mods.
-
no, no mistake, some angry mod that apperantly wasn't happy with MTA anymore
-
it looks like one of the mods had a bad day and has been deleting threats. We apologize for this. At this moment we do not know who or why

still some bugs though, but it was fun -
We're working at 0.4, which will probably support both GTA3 and GTA:Vice City. From what we can tell now, MTA 0.4 will be way better than the last MTA version of GTA3 (GTA3:MTA). To keep you up to date, here are some screenshots we just made while we were testing the new version. http://files.mtasa.com/media/gta3mta/Im ... isinl1.jpg http://files.mtasa.com/media/gta3mta/Im ... isinl2.jpg http://files.mtasa.com/media/gta3mta/Im ... isinl3.jpg http://files.mtasa.com/media/gta3mta/Im ... isinl4.jpg Hope you enjoy it. More screenshots will follow

The next core (and no, not the next release cause thats old core) should work with 98/Me, we are trying to write the new core that way. Up till now we have not used code that is uncompatible with 9x but we can not guarantee that we succeed. Most gamers have upgraded to 2000/XP. 9x users represent less then 10% of the visitors of our website: WIN 98.8 % Windows XP 81.3 % Windows NT 0.2 % Windows Me 2.3 % Windows Codename Longhorn 0 % Windows CE 0 % (334 hits ) Windows 98 5.9 % Windows 95 0.1 % Windows 2003 0.5 % Windows 2000 8.1 % Windows 3.xx 0 % (34 hits ) MAC 17407 0.4 % Mac OS X 0.2 % Mac OS 0.2 % OTHERS 0.7 % Linux 0.3 % Unknown 0.3 % Sun Solaris 0 % (1105 hits) FreeBSD 0 % (341 hits) Unknown Unix system 0 % (116 hits) NetBSD 0 % (87) WebTV 0 % (29) BeOS 0 % (28 ) OpenBSD 0 % (28 ) Irix 0 % (27) CPM 0 % (27) OS/2 0 % (27) Dreamcast 0 % (24) GNU 0 % (6) Aix 0 % (2)

The first such articl was written a coupl of months ago and was released to the public on the 1 year MTA site. MTA has evolved a lot and these articles show the public what ha changed. A year goes fast for everyone but if you read trough it you notice that a lot has happend. Don't look at it as a biography but more like a change log.

Finally, after about 40 straight hours of downtime the servers are back online again. Wojjie Networks was suffering from some major problems with their servers and had to reset them in order to restore all the data. The servers went down saturday night and are being restored as im posting this. Unfortunately some forum posts and/or topics may have been lost. The last backup was made at friday evening, meaning approximately all posts within the first 12 hours have been lost . But, we are glad everything is up and working again.

What if GTA:SA is multiplayer too??
Blokker_1999 replied to Mastertom's topic in General MTA discussion
i would like to mention that the renderware engine (the engine used in GTA) is not the property of R* or T2I, they just license it. The engine is used in numerous games going from sports games over platformers, trough RPG to Rave games and action games. RWE is a versatile engine and MP games have been built on it in the past. It is one of the bigger engines in use and has been used by a lot of studios in the past. Also it is not the 3D engine that defines the MP aspect. -
i think adding more tags would only make it look worse, we could add tags for so many things but and in the end all you will see in your screen are tags

if you dare to make one post like that one more time then you will be f*cking banned!

What if GTA:SA is multiplayer too??
Blokker_1999 replied to Mastertom's topic in General MTA discussion
even if SA has mp, that should not stop us. Ppl would keep playing MTA and the team could port MTA to the MP of SA if they release an SDK. And when GTA has no future the team could always start a new project -
read what pl write instead of asking the same question over and over again. Why should we answer when you don't listen?

GTA:SA will be PS2 exclusive, just as GTA3 and GTAVC -
Rockstar Games finally made it public, the next GTA title will be Grand Theft Auto : San Andreas. It will be available on October 19 in the states and 3 days later in Europe and will be exclusivly available on the Playstation 2 platform. "In the past couple of years, we have put an enormous amount of pressure on ourselves to ensure we do everything possible to exceed people’s expectations with Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas,” stated Sam Houser, President of Rockstar Games. “Even though we still have eight months to go, we are starting to become very proud of what we have achieved and we can’t wait to get the game into players’ hands." Leslie Benzies, President of Rockstar North, stated, "We are extremely humbled by the success of the Grand Theft Auto series and it has made us push ourselves further than ever to create a title in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas that will hopefully redefine the Grand Theft Auto series and revolutionize open-ended gameplay and video game production values." It is not yet known if the new episode in this franchise will have multiplayer support, nor are any other new features mentionned in the press release. We will keep you guys informed as the story develops.
