  1. I think it would be cool to have a free vehicle race mode where you pick a car at the beginning or whatever, the race begins like the race in single player race missions, but you can smash other people's cars during the race, get out of the car while you're driving to get into other vehicles that are lying around, parked by the road or wherever and use weapons to blow up other people's cars. That would be a lot of fun. When I first heard about racing in MTA, that's how I imagined it. Where you can get out of your car and get into any other vehicle if your car is really damaged. Also, a cool feature would be where everyone starts on foot as if it's a marathon. Once the race starts everyone frantically tries to get into vehicles. Another idea would be to make some kind of mario kart mode, where it's like the first one mentioned above but depending on the vehicle, you get special weapons or you can pick up powerups and toss them at your opponents while driving to knock them off course, slow them down, etc...
  2. I have an idea: Why not program the option to change game modes on the fly. This can be done in a couple of ways I guess: 1) The admin could set a game mode to run for say 20 minutes, then it'll automatically change to another game mode. Or he can do it manually. Sort of like in Counterstrike when you change map. Players are warned of a game mode change and then when the time comes players are setup according to game mode chosen. Most likely servers will stick to one mode but at least the option is there for more variety and to possibly accommodate more experieced MTA players. 2) Or have it so that the admin can chose what game modes are available and each game mode is a different location on the map. Say if players want to race they would have to go to the car dealership and click "join race". Multiple game modes can then be played out in a single session. Or just have a screen showing the game modes made available by the admin and the people curently playing in each mode so they can decide what mode to join and join it in that screen. That would be a lot less annoying. People in other game modes can interfere with each other to a limited extent maybe. That would be funny. Definitely innclude the following modes: -Team CTF -A Racing mode where there is a choice of multiple paths or "tracks" that can be raced just like in the single player car dealership missions in vice city. In fact take the paths straight out of the single player game. There's a good amount of variety in those. And of course the players will have to follow that path. If they deviate from it they can't finish the race. This mode should include 3D markers that are in the single player missions to make it easier to stay on track or include an option to turn them on or off. How about include a "sim" mode or something like a long term "always on" mode where there are multiple gangs. And a boss is chosen for each gang in one of various optional ways. The whole game is trying to acquire as much property as possible by each gang. This could be done in various ways like killing all the NPCs in a building and then acquiring it or killing many of a certain type of NPC until they force their property for sale in which then you would go to the property and have the option to purchase it or have a centralized location for that like a real estate agency. And this mode would be continuous I guess. Once a property is acquired you get a free member (the next person to join will be on your side) and/or the NPCs respawn and join your side and are harder to kill. I can see games, though, where one gang totally rules over the city and make it almost imposible for others to win. Maybe certain conditions have to be met like a % of property need be owned by a gang to win. Long enough post. Thanks. I hope blue is done soon.
  3. I use Media Player classic. Is there any reason it says "failed to render file" when I try to play it? I'm using the latest one I'm not about to install Media Player 9. I did install the mp9 codecs though. Can anyone help? Maybe I did something wrong?
  4. When are you cock suckers going to implement RACING into MTA god damn it. YOU SHOULD BE DOING THAT RIGHT NOW! IT SHOULD BE YOUR PRIORITY! Fucken retards. Who gives a fuck about multiple view points and garbage like that. WE WANT RACING and how long does it take you slow fuckers to update MTA? It's been like months before a last release. LAZY SLACKING SONS A BITCHES! SAN ANDREAS WILL BE OUT AND MTAVC STILL WON'T HAVE A RACING MODE! holy fuck......

    GTA3:MTA Poll

How about scrap MTA3 and concentrate on MTA VC since it's a far superior game.
  6. OK, I'm no genious but the first thing that came to my mind as a mini-game in multi-theft auto, a total and utter no-brainer, is racing.... how about multiplayer fucken racing.... jesus christ, you guys are idiots.. it's been a month and no update? stop jacking off...
  7. GTA3 and VC feature race missions where you have to follow check points like in Midnight Club. Is there multiplayer support for that mode in MTA:VC? I would assume so, but just want to find out before hand.
  8. I first discovered MTA when the news that a new multiplayer mod for GTA3 was announced on slashdot. I was totally elated. I almost crapped my pants. That would really spice up our LAN parties, I thought. I quickly realized that MTA is in the very early development stages, but has huge potential. I've never played it, and don't plan to until it gets close to version 1. I don't want to ruin the experience with crashes and what not. I have a question and suggestion though: 1. GTA3 and VC feature race missions where you have to follow check points like in Midnight Club. Please tell me that there's multiplayer support for that because that would totally f-ing rock. I always liked the play control of VC better than MC. 2. It makes a lot more sense to me to just concentrate on MTA:VC development. The graphics engine and modelling are improved in VC. Why not concentrate on MTA:VC and maybe add the Liberty city map to it as many people seem to like it a lot. Even include the GTA3 guy as a playable character. And driving around Liberty on a bike? Sweet. I'm hoping MTA:VC will be in prime condition for my next LAN, but it seems a ways off before it's ready for prime time. Keep up the good work, guys!
