A port would probably be made to GTA:VC (if it is made) because GTA:LCS is build on the VC engine

that is the third time they killed him.

Two things: -Most people don't have a problem with WMP11. I simply don't use it cause i think the interface is worse then that of WMP10. -WMP11 is still in BETA stage and therefore still has bugs, installing beta software is always at your own risk and comes without waranty.

MTA Site History

something that has been long gone. The oldest surviving post is this one : http://forum.mtavc.com/viewtopic.php?p=10#10 -
GTA, GTA London and GTA 2 have native build in multiplayer, it still gets played on LAN parties and if you find some friend you can still play it online as well.

Support the industry, buy the game.

MTA Site History

Go to our main site and scroll down, the bottom box of the side menu is labeled Info, below those 4 colored boxes, and i've explained in the past what they are for, you see two links, the bottom link is called site archive and will take you to that url. -
i'll have a look at it this weekend.

Please use the search function of this forum ....... Minimizing has been adressed so many times. In theory when the game crashes it should get picked up by the error reporter which should close it. The reason why we can not allow people to alt+tab out of the game is cause it would desync the game for that player since events are handled on a frame per frame basis.

Some time ago I introduced a picture system on our main site. From today the system randomizes between the 5 latest submissions. It is now also possible to comment on the pictures (with your center login) and I also added a gallery to browse trough all previous ones. Remember, all the shots have been made by our QA team and are selected by them and not by the developers. Just have a look

it is possible, altough improbable, that your ISP is blocking incoming traffic on the needed ports.

Learn to use a site and search information. If you have a closer look at that page you will see that both iin the sidemenu as in the text we placed a link to our documentation page from where you could find a chapter on how to keep your server maps up to date ... http://www.mtavc.com/docu/index.php/Kee ... up-to-date

The problem: We have only a limited number of IP adresses available. Reaching from 0.0.0.0 to 254.254.254.254 . Some ranges are reservered for private use (like 192.168.*.*). The internet has always been controled by organisations in the United States and under some pressure they decided to reserve most IP ranges for providers inside the states leaving the rest of the world with not enough adresses. As a result ISPs started using dynamic IP adresses. that way they need less adresses then if they wanted to give everyone a static adress. Everytime your modem starts it sends out a so called DHCP request to ask your ISP what it should set as an IP adress, subnetmask, gateway, dns server and so on. Now the IP adress you receive is leased. It is only yours for a limited amount of time. An hour, a day, ... and when the lease is almost expired the modem sends ou a new request for an IP and most of the time the lease gets renewed and you get to keep your adress. So if you got good old dialup your adress would change everytime you come online. If you got broadband and shut down your modem when no one is online then the next time you go online your adress could have changed. Same after a power failure. Some ISPs also force you to change IP after a while. This is not a good thing cause all applications that are online at that time will disconnect. What is the solution to this mess? More ip adresses. That is why the IPv6 protocol started, and at this moment a lot of the big companies are changing infrastructure to support IPv6, but it's gonna take time until it is available for consumers and it's gonna be even longer before we can say goodbye to the currently used IPv4 system.

Patching your 1.01 or 2.00 version of gta_sa.exe

One of the fixed bugs in the patched versions -
C++ is a language, pictures aren't gonna help you much i'm afraid.

You can now use the Xbox 360 controller for GTA & all games.
Blokker_1999 replied to ScrewstonPlaya20's question in Client
This has been known since before the 360 was even released. -
The MTA uninstaller only uninstalls what we specify in it during compile time. We use the NSIS installer ( http://nsis.sourceforge.net/Main_Page ). We have never had any problems with it. Please make sure that the desktop icons haven't simple been disabled.

[Blog] Something old and something new (by Blokker)
Blokker_1999 replied to Blokker_1999's topic in News
Took some time, but fixed. -
I just switched forum styles. Now anyone can enjoy a forum style that fits a bit more with the rest of the site. The style isn't an exact match but it is inspired by the rest of the site. I hope you all enjoy it. Please note that some small changes can still folow. If you prefer the old style : go to your profile page. Then navigate to Profile -> preferences -> style and select MTAv2. I also started gathering some old media files to put together a new media gallery. Once finished you should be able to find most screenshots and movies from the past in it. As well as other memorable images. Click for more

there is a reason why we prevent minimizing, we have explained this before yet no one seems to remember. MTA hooks into the game, receiving and sending data is related to the frames drawn on screen. Minimizing MTA interrupts the data transmission. That is also why you can alt+tab out of the map editor. When MTA crashes it should be intercepted by the error handler, the same thing that sends the error reports. Also one of the things i hate in online games is when someone just alt+tabs out to check something and then is just afk when he/she respawns and you get blocked by him/her.

GTA:SA can be played under linux, but it is not easy. All guides i have seen require you to have an nvidia card. Also as far as we know MTA itself does not work.
