The best way would have been to start from an unmodified version and just make a copy from it. I think that after it is installed you will have to remove some register values. Or you could make a duplicate from your modified version (just copy and paste the dir), uninstall the original one and reinstall it.

Vote to remove "911" maps eg "9-11" maps from centre

I think we have said what needed to be said. Some poeple find it immoral to have these kind of maps and even though the team regrets that people make thesemaps it is not up to us to censor this. You can not draw a simple line between what is allowed and what not. In the end it is all virtual. If you kill some gangstas, cops or fly into a building, it's all virtual. Also e-terrorism happens in more places then on these 911 maps (just think about counterstrike). I would like to call upon server owners not to add every single map from the center but make a decent selection. I would also like to make one more reply to :Rob You don't fly with a boeing 737 in GTA and the towers you crash in isn't the WTC or the pentagon. -

global warming is something natural, that is correct, however the current global warming itself is going to fast and that makes it unnatural. The current global warming would even be going fster if there was less smog in the air. Basicly our polution is both speeding it up and slowing it down at the same time and both problems need to be adressed at the same time. Also cyrix, a nice list of countries, but we both know that a lot of those countires are in no position to send troops and only supported the war in irak cause other wise the US would stop supporting them. Third world countries can be easely manipulated once you start talking about money. Also the netherlands stopped supporting it after they noticed that the public was completly against it and they pulled out their troops. -

So flying a virtual aircraft into a virual building is real? you keep saying e-this and e-that but when you talk about the 9/11 maps then all of a suddon you forget that those are e-maps in a e-game. -
For the past weeks I have slowly been working on a ladder system to expand our site. The ladder will be working next to the map system. They will share the same user accounts and side menu. It will only have some basic functionality in the beginning but improvements will follow. There is also some work in progress on the rules for the first ladder. The ladders themselves use the elo rating system as it is used in many online gaming ladders. In the future we hope to add other competitions as well like knock-out competitions and leagues. click image for more

Having a valid photo ID with you has been required in my country for ages, everyone from the age 12 upwards is required to have it and personnaly i do not have a problem with it. And i can not see what the problem would be. Isn't it better when law enforcers can verify someone's identity in an easy way? -

Terrorist to one, freedom fighter to another. And no, that is not where you draw the line, cause basicly if that is how you determn your moral values then you shoudn't be playing GTA or any violant game at all. If you have moral problems with smoeone flying a big jet into some virtual buildings then you should have the same problems with shooting on a cemetery in public (something you do in GTA). Killing someone on holy ground? come on. And the gang wars? That is basicly terrorizing a neighberhood. Or take a game like BF2, where you can play as an iraqsi soldier, that was the enemy you know, BF Vietnam playing as a Vietnamese? I guess you would have problems with that too. -

Rob, please read everything again. We do not support these maps, i think most people find them immoral, however it is not up to us to censor anything. And in the end, where do you draw the line? A lot of people think the GTA series in general should be outlawed, yet you are playing that game where you have to kill people, fight gangs, come in contact with drugs, where killing cops is rewarding and so on. Some people die for their ideals, other think those same ideals are completly wrong. But can one man or one roup tell other people what they should beleive in, what they should do? Should we delete freedom from our dictionary? -
The only suggestion i can give you is to reinstall GTA somehow ... This is what happens when mods change files, something MTA does not do.

Let's put it differently. As far as i am concerned, these maps fall under the freedom of speech. Just some weeks ago some cartoons have upset the moslim world cause they were making fun of Muhammed, and the entire western world was screaming that it was there right of freedom of speech to publisch those cartoons. And now when someone makes something about 9/11 we should start removing it? I don't think these maps are showing good taste, and i certainly woudn't want them on a server i own, but that does not mean we can just delete them. -

Who are we to judge what people want? Those maps could be controversial, but it is up to the server admin to decide if he/she wants it on the server. 9/11 was a tragedy. Just under three thousand people died that day. Since then the Americans have killed somewhere in between 35 000 to 100 000 innocent people died in Irak and lost more then 3000 soldiers on the battlefield as well. Some people think that that is even worse then what happend on 9/11. Isn't it time then that we start banning games like BF2, AA, ...? -
We have added a new login system to the blog. From now on you need to login to post a comment. The login system is linked to our community center.

forum.mtavc.com is a mess

Can you read? What sections do we find uncer the category MTA 0?5? Right, MTA:VC and GTA3:MTA ... . And have you missed the MTA:SA section as well? And about addons, don't forget that those are third party addons and that we do not even have to give them a section. -
libxerces.so cannot be found but is definitely present
Blokker_1999 replied to ...'s topic in Race Server-side
I am checking with the server maintainer atm, but afaik our server only runs on 32 bit systems. libxerces needs to be compiled as a 32bit library in order to run. How did you install it? download with yum or compiled it yourself? -
if you can not be polite i don't see why i should keep this topic open.

The frustration comes from a dozen people who all open there own topic to say how dissapointed they are in the latest release. Sure people can be disappointed, but centralise complaints, at least learn to use the search function and browse trough the forums instead of posting one of your first posts and stating you don't like it.

We work on MTA in our spare time. We do our best. A new release always creates new problems. We improve our ways of error reporting so we can find problems faster and fix them faster. We fixed the biggest bugs from 1.1 in 1.1.1 but we can not fix everything in a couple of days. if you don't like crashes, don't use software that is under beta stage. In the end even commercial games have problems, and it gets worse with them. We can even see patches for commercial games even before they are available in stores.

Maybe i should write a better answer: Lag excists in every game. We optimize our netcode as good and as bad as we can, but we can not stop lag or create someting like a 0 ping. Also due to the nature of MTA it is jsut that littlebit slower then when everything would have been integrated. And we fixed a lot of bugs in 1.1.1 but we can not fix everything at once. We also did not say that 1.1.1 is crash free. It remains a product under development (beta).

ever played BF2? It lags ...
