Guest
knoppix? what is that mean... aeron: usually they will leave it running as a backround application, but if theyre semi smart, theyl just hide it from the menu so it doesnt appear as a process. i found the one that they used at my school, it was installed in a hidden folder that they set the access levels to nil on. i just simply used a artificial crash to get rid of it. it worked quite well Link to comment
Robpol86
knoppix is a linux distro that u boot off of the cd, so u can mount any hard drive and kill the "protection" wow nice BUMP Link to comment

dystopia
In a less fortunate (tech wise) school I went to for summer school (yay for graduating early), the people didn't protect their server internally, it was as easy as emptying filter.php lmfao Alternatively if you run a webserver, setup a web proxy, and you can surf via the servers bandwidth, we set a bunch up, theyd block it, we'd make a new url, kind of a pain, but hey, all for being a rebel ya know lol. Mr.Bill
these are all good ideas, but for people who dont gather too well could they be more in detail? (specificly the one with the admin watching you stuf.. that'd be nice how to get around) Link to comment
Robpol86
ssl into a http proxy @ home so the admin wont see what ur doing, only see u connected to ur house? and lynx or links wont work w/ hotmail Link to comment
Slothman
the knoppix disk comes with a full version of the x server, and contains graphical browsers that do work with hotmail, instead of ssh, you can do a remote login. Link to comment

[KFC] El Burro
They only Filter Porno and Chat sites at my school. Oh and they only filtered Rotten.com a few days ago (coz it fed my Sadistic hunger). MTA aint a Chat site so they don't filter it... wich is weird coz its just the same only on a slower scale, you could still meet a Pedo here... wich worries me **RUNS AWAY** Link to comment
