I believe it has something to do with getting out of the car/bike while the car/bike is still moving. Not sure on this though.

It's possible that there are still one or two modified files left... It'd probably just be easiest to re-install GTA:VC and MTA:VC

Seems that hitting enter doesn't cut it any more I just hit Alt + F4 a bunch of times... I think esc might work too. Oh, and if you have to turn off your computer when it's completely locked up, just hold down on the power button for about 5 seconds.

Money sounds just swell, so long as it isn't completely nerfed.

/me looks at Profile options I see. Maybe try turning off images in your browser, or using a different browser may let you change it

Might be some copy protection that your CD drive can't handle (this is only if it's quite old)... Make sure you've got all the patches for your OS, and try it out on another computer if you can. It might just be that the CD is bad.

Oh, and to stop this from happening again, right-click on config.cfg, hit properties, and check "Read only"

It's the thing you downloaded from here: http://www.udpsoft.com/eye2/ ASE stands for the All Seeing Eye. You use it to find the IPs of servers... There are a lot of good FAQs on how to set it up on the forums, use the Search button to find them

That's odd... You could probably just re-install GTA:VC, should fix your problem. Or you can un-install MTA:VC and delete your MTA folder, mta.scm, mtas.scm (both the .scm's can be found in Grand Theft Auto Vice City\data)... It's probably just a file that's being left over from un-installing.

Well, there is one mission in VC single player that I think uses this effect. IIRC you can't get drunk in VC single player, except for that one mission.

You're supposed to connect to the IP address of the servers you find in ASE... Not the IP address of the main site.

That's just a problem with the mods, and has nothing to do with MTA.

It could be that the server has too many people on it, or can't take the stress. Are you getting these errors when you go in-game, or just when you connect? Oh, and try a few different servers too.

Idle kick = it would have to be a server option. If a gang war was going on, people might not go ingame for the first 15 mins.

The easiest one to find/explain is at the film studios: It's on Stage A, between the 2 doors. It looks like a miniature version of the slow-mo powerup pill thingy. Stand under it, and you become drunk There is one of these drunkspots at every spawn. EDIT: I edited the post to stop sounding so much like a damn salesman, and added a pretty picture.
