This happens in SP too. To jump out you have to be going fairly fast, not holding down on the acellerate key. If you move too slow you won't jump out, no matter what (R* probably did this because it was too easy to dive out of a car by mistake, when you meant to get out when you were done stopping).

Happened to me in 0.2 Quite a funky bug.

Easiest way to tell that you're moving faster is with the speedometer in single player.

It's all purdy'n stuff . Text is a little small though

0.1 scares me 1.0 is cool. 2.0 is alright. 3.0 is tight.

Might want to get some more RAM (512MB)... Not really sure of how much RAM Vice City requires... Assuming you have a decent video card, you should be able to run VC fine (I've run it on a GeForce 2 ti200 and a 900mhz machine; without having to lower the graphics quality by too much, and use a GeForce 3 ti200, 1.4 ghz machine usually).

You can usually tell if a guy has crashed by running into him with a car. If he goes flying smoothly (no lag/warping/teleporting), then he's crashed.
