  1. Photoshop costs money. Just use The GIMP (free photoshop!)
  2. Though I do not know exactly what he is talking about, I am going to follow MrBump's better judgement on this one. He stated that illegal characters have been known to cause instability in MTA:VC, and not to use them. In that spirit: Thread Closed I'll be editing all posts that show how to add color to nicknames.
  3. No, you can use the 1.9 version of it, which is free.

    confused T_T

Are you using the english version of VC? Have you selected the proper version of your VC in MTA:VC? (drop-down box in the top right of MTA:VC) http://www.mtavc.com/sbs.php will probably help you out too.

    LAN How to host??

Alrighty then, this little tutorial assumes you're using 2 windows computers. Computer 1 (server): Start up the dedicated server. Computer 1 (server): Connect to 'localhost' Computer 2 (other player): Connect to the IP of the server. To find the IP of the server: Computer 1 (server): Go start -> run... -> type 'cmd', hit enter. Type ipconfig in the window that appears. One of those numbers is the IP of the server.
  6. Sea sparrow? with weapons? What've you been smoking? Oh, and from what I hear, the decision to put it in again was made long ago
  7. But then my enter key will wear out! And where will I be then?
  8. This works thusly: When you type an URL (http://www.foo.com) into your browser, a request is sent to the DNS server for the IP (in this example, 105.141.51.103). The DNS server sends the IP to the browser, and then the browser connects to said IP. Same thing with MTA, just replace 'browser' with 'MTA:VC'.

  10. You have to lead ahead quite a bit (because of lag). I'm usually leading by about 10-20 feet. There is also an aiming bug, so you SOMETIMES have to aim a bit to the left/right of them to hit them.
  11. Be in IRC at the right time, and become known in the MTA community
  12. OMGz! The big purple bar thing is gone! I'm sure I'll get used to it eventually

    Vice Society

Problem: There are 22 "classes" listed. Assuming a server became completely full (32 players), there would only be enough for 2 people in half the classes, one in the rest.

    mIRC ingame?

That MIGHT be possible... Use a program to read the chat from mIRC, and put it into the chat for your MTA:VC, any text typed in MTA:VC that had '/irc' at the beginning of it would be placed in mIRC... So I suppose it is possible, but not exactly a priority.
  15. Open up your C:\WINDOWS\mta.ini, and edit the line that points to your GTA:VC... It may be somehow set incorrectly. Or just delete your C:\WINDOWS\mta.ini
  16. It would appear as though you forgot to read this ransom: It looks like the only thing that you can use to make something resembling a second MP3 station (just remove the radio station that you don't like).
  17. Have you set the version of VC correctly in MTA? Are you using the english version of VC? These are the two most likely causes to your problem.
  18. If I recall correctly, you use the main.scm to edit car spawn locations, change missions, and alter gameplay. However, do not edit the main.scm if you plan on playing MTA. ONLY edit the files if you want to change the spawn locations/missions/etc for GTA:VC single player. There are a number of tutorials on main.scm editing (Though I've yet to find them )... Google is your friend

    Hello?????

Use google to find some mod sites. My favs are: http://www.codenamevice.co.uk/ http://www.codenamegta3.co.uk/ http://www.3dactionplanet.com/gta/rlm/
  20. Ya, the M-60 The bug is NOT the hitboxes. It is a combination of lag and an aiming problem. You usually have to aim very far ahead of the person to hit them (I usually have to aim 10-20 feet ahead) if they are moving (lag). And SOMETIMES you have to aim a bit to the left/right of where you want the bullets to go. I'm usually aiming about a meter to the side, and I usually am able to hit them (aiming bug).
  21. The drive might've been defectively manufactured... Or it isn't set up properly yet.
  22. DATA4.cab sounds like an install file. (Kinda like a zip file, just for use while installing)... Bad disc maybe?
  23. Exactly. And to anyone using colors in their names: Please, don't. It may increase the instability of the game.
  24. Are you using Windows ME/98/95? None of them are compatible with MTA yet.

Did you remember to restart? Did you get the right version of DirectX for your OS? Go Start -> Run... -> type dxdiag, and hit enter. make sure that it says the right version.
