Like I said, you have to compensate for lag. Aim ahead quite a bit.

Remember that there are many bugs (sometimes the guns aim too far to the left/right on their screen), and you have to compensate for lag (quite a bit sometimes). It's often hard to tell wether they are cheating or not.

Yes, when you join the game, you don't receive the information as to what class the other players are. So they simply appear with the wrong skins... When they respawn, their skins will be correct.

It was not put in because it would be too difficult/take too long, or wasn't possible.

My guess is it has something to do with that "superdave" guy. I've noticed that when people make their names too long, the chat bugs up.

There are usually 2 reasons for this: lag, and the gun bug Lag: Lag is... incredible in MTA... Sometimes I'm having to shoot around 50 feet ahead of the person to hit them... Not the 'quarter of a second' that my ping shows Gun Bug: Sometimes the guns aim to the right (or was it to the left?.. I forget). I usually end up aiming back and forth, trying to hit them The difference in aim can be small, or enormous... Once or twice it was 10 feet! (You may notice people seeming to shoot 5 feet away from you... that is the bug ) Oh and Sometimes I try to use auto lock for R1-targetting but I am assuming that this won't work very well considering that I am already having the problems I do. I still don't know what this is I'm guessing it's just someone who's disconnected, or who's alt-tabbed... When you jack their car, they don't see any difference (IIRC), and so they keep telling the server that they are in the car. Not entirely sure that's the correct explanation, but it's my best guess The text not appearing one is annoying... I think it has to do with dropped packets or something. I just send the message twice Exception errors: annoying... I usually get them every half-hour. I've noticed this happen, and I think it has something to do with the island not being fully loaded (I've noticed that as soon as the textures load fully, he shoots, and I spawn). Ya, and an annoying one. The people who jack your car are probably just seeing the car sitting there nearby, with you not in it, or just seeing you sitting there in it, not moving. It's possible they're using a trainer aswell No, the drive by-shooting doesn't work... The hunter's guns and drive by shooting are based on the same methods I haven't heard any problems with using a game controller... it'd be difficult to compensate for lag though (since using auto-aim will just cause you to miss the target 90% of the time). Ya, on their screen, they are standing up and shooting at you (and you might even be on the ground), but it just looks like that... sometimes they'll be standing up on your screen when they're lying down on theirs as well

*sigh*... Can't you really just tell us what's wrong with your FRAPS?

It may be fragmented files, slower memory/hard drive (though you said that it was made for games)... Very odd

I don't remember it being answered though What is your OS? Does this happen in single player? Have you got the right version selected in MTA? Are you using a crack? Are you using a mod?

The purple is for mexicans, and since almost everyone spawns as them, it'd probably be what you'd see. Blue is cops, which is the next most popular class.

Green to red: You say he was at the docks... He could've gotten the health pickup, or he could've been a sailor (they regenerate health). Spawning cop car: That may simply be the problem with cars not being synced when no one is in them. HE would see the car there, but you wouldn't. It is possible that he was using a trainer, but I'm guessing he wasn't, because would he run away from you if he had infinite health?

Because it doesn't really matter to me wether they get laughed at or not (Personally, I think they should be brought down a notch or two... Or banned if they really are using trainers) All that, and this flame war is getting a little too big for my tastes...

Perhaps you could've mentioned this in your first post? Patch up your new install of windows, I'm guessing that's the problem, although it may be the no-cd crack (who knows).

They might be able to use a system other than pre-defined warps to do it... But there'd be a problem with people spawning inside of buildings and in the water.
