  1. as it stands now, only 1 addon can be loaded at a time..... we're discussing multiple addons but that brings up new issues.. of course addon developers will be able to share resources, and design their sections of code to be somewhat portable, so other addon devs can snap in features from other people... of course that would require a new release each time a feature is added... I see the point about wanting multiple addons, but we haven't come to an agreement on it. Kent
  2. a lot of ramps are also created by the SCM though... which could be possible to do at will.. most likely you'd do it through a custom packet w/the addon, controlled serverside. Kent

  8. actually BLUE is a bit smoother.... that video uses a better way of writing hte data... w/ blue we do that as well as change other things as far as sync goes... Kent

  12. if you don't like heli kills make a gamemode w/ out helicopters
  13. try changing the port the server listens on, also make sure your firewall/router are forwarding correctly, (sounds like you've already checked).. lastly run this in command netstat -b -p udp check to make sure your ASE port is correctly listening.. if you open task man, and check the proccesses tab to verify the correct pid is used w/ that port... (to get taskman to show your pids, click view->select columns-> check PID Hope this will help you shed some light on your situation.. if all else fails try using different ports that you are sure have forwarded for you in teh past.... (are players able to connect to your server manually?)
  14. hope you liked linear algebra then haha.. study up on your matrix math, theoretically you could do it w/ some trig, but matrix math is faster...
  15. when you write your addon you will choose how to implement your mods.. you wouldn't use a seperate exe for your speed mod, it'd be built into your addon dll, unless im misreading your question. as far as SCM calls go you'll basically call an scm function built into the addon w/ the opcode as the first param, followed by the rest of your parameters.   16. by default 2003 for the game, 2126 for ASE... if you change your game port, then the ASE port is always the game port + 123. Kent
  17. when BLUE is released you can write yoru own gamemodes... and that gamemode can have weapon buying in it.. so you don't have to be on the team :_p
  18. mods are written specifically FOR MTA.. when you install a mod you'll have a directory under VC for that mod.. when you connect to a server it will make sure all of your files are ok, then will specify the addon to load, at this point you'd join the game w/ the appropriate files.. just think of it as a situation where you run a TFC game for HL, and try to join a CS server..   19. the process is a bit different you'd probably have something hardcoded into the intialize for the client, or a more secure / dynamic route, you could have it in a config file for your server addon, when new clients connect you can write a custom packet to send the data that you want. (i.e. the gravity value) Kent
  20. BLUE will be released with several gamemodes, some will emphasize team play.. however you can also write your own gamemodes to emphasize that as well. Kent

    it was a 757 not a 747... 757's are considerably smaller and don't have 4 engines
