Atomic bombs are difficult for amateurs to make. You need separate pieces of uranium which you then force together rapidly by chemical explosives, BUT the pieces have to match up like a 3D jigsaw puzzle (apparently). Also, you don't know if they work because you can't blow up prototypes due to the fact that the US has satellites looking for nuclear explosions.

http://www.mtasa.com/ Look at the development update for the 14th June. It's the second screenshot.

Banned at official server
orappa replied to =BDC=Kenny's topic in Site/Forum/Discord/Mantis/Wiki related
Probably a range ban then. -
They can detect nuclear explosions by satellite but obviously by then the bomb has already exploded and it's too late. What they need to do is control and limit access to materials that could be used to make bombs, although this would raise the costs of companies that legitimately use them, e.g. mining companies. They then need to increase border security to prevent the materials from being smuggled in and sold on the black market.

Remember to select version 1.1 in the MTA dialog.

Exercise inside the GYM (game mode and suggestion).
orappa replied to Master73's topic in General discussion
What, you mean they fight in the ring? If they just fight anywhere inside the gym, who's going to get a chance to exercise? -
But someone on a another forum will say "OMG LIEK MTA SA HAS BEEN RELEAS0RED!!!11" or something to that effect, and then everyone will download it and say "Oh.... it's not that much better than GTAT". Also, they've been saying for years that MTA is a beta and has bugs, and people still haven't cottoned onto that fact.

I used to use ZoneAlarm but whenever my computer crashed, it said that the crash could have been caused by a hacker and it had disabled internet access as a precaution. I then had to go through a complicated procedure to get it back that involved editing several files and restarting the machine twice. This got incredibly annoying so I uninstalled the program.

Nah, I'd say between 5 and 6. For me, at least, it's far more stable than 0.4. The thing is, we're all waiting on the release of the new core, Blue, which uses different methods of interfacing with the game and will offer greater stability. The current core has been used since version 0.2 and has been going for more than 2 years, so it's in need of an update. For more info about the new core, go to http://www.mtablue.info . The Blue core will be used for the first time in the upcoming MTA:SA ( http://www.mtasa.com ).

The Admin+ information is more of use to people creating their own scripts.
-
It all depends on the script. There's no official RPG mode - just several user scripts that people have made.

I believe it was last updated for the 1 year anniversary of MTA. They also released a vid showcasing their progress in that time. Strangely, there was absolutely no mention when the second anniversary passed. Btw, I'd gladly write the rest of the history if someone wants me to.
-
They said that they've now fixed it. Edit: Moved to MTA:SA section.

If you're talking about Vice City, money doesn't feature in deathmatch but is used as a scoring system in stunt mode, although you can't spend it. It would be great to have a stunt mode in MTA: San Andreas where you could spend money on upgrades to your car.

We all get that as the mod is a beta and the core technology is quite old (about 2 years actually). I've found that the more desynchronisation that occurs, the more it crashes. It runs flawlessly on my LAN because the pings are so low but crashes whenever I play online. To improve your ping you could lower graphical details, upgrade your PC, close all other running applications, play on servers in your country or upgrade your internet connection speed.

GTAT isn't finished yet and neither is MTA. How do you know that MTA:SA is in a better state at the present time? Blue has been hyped so much that people are expecting the best from the new core and nothing less. Btw, I wouldn't pay too much attention to the progress bars if I were you. They're not a very accurate indicator of progress. The mod is progressing, for sure, but the team don't update the progress bars because it's difficult to put a percentile figure on total progress, especially as some features may be removed before release.

[MOD]GTATournament: online Multiplayer (GTA San Andreas)
orappa replied to Toreno's topic in Other GTA Mods
Don't forget to update the SA-MP and SA-2P communities either. Was that sarcasm? I'm not even sure. -
Also play on servers with low player counts. Closing all other running applications may help too.

Make sure your firewall isn't blocking MTA (if you have one).

The problem is that they're a step ahead of the authorities. They'd never be able to fly planes into buildings again. There was a scare several months ago when a plane's flight information that it normally broadcasts suddenly disappeared and it started heading off course whilst travelling over the UK. In the September 11th attacks, the terrorists had disabled the identification system, so you can understand how suspicious it looked. The RAF were contacted immediately and were ready to shoot the plane down (and its 300 passengers) if Downing Street gave the word. Luckily they didn't have to because the pilot suddenly got in contact with the airspace monitoring station to say that the electrical system had malfunctioned which explained why the plane went off course and why they could no longer identify it. So anyway, in conclusion, they wouldn't be able to do it again which is good but it's a pity that the September 11th attacks had to occur before this security hole was closed.

The synchronisation was less impressive than the video released ages ago (sometime last year) but they said that the SA video had only basic synchronisation. According to the latest news post, a lot of progress has been made so it would be interesting to see another movie clip in order to compare it to the first.

Yeah, it does work, but I reckon people are just searching for patterns that aren't there.

They threatened Italy and the Netherlands if I recall correctly.
