Nah, a bullet's too quick for my liking.

There's been a bit of confusion. The .manifest file is meant to be deleted in order to get the config program working and the mtaserver.conf file is meant to be opened in Notepad. There is a utility included that you can use to log in as admin or alternatively you can use the more popular mIRC addon, MTAMA. It is available from http://www.aeron.tk . You will also need mIRC, available from http://www.mirc.com

Yeah, they've got some screenshots and a movie at http://www.mtasa.com Note that these are early movies / screens, but they still look impressive despite this.
-
But it's likely all skins will be available for mod makers to use.

Generally when inflation rises, unions put pressure on firms to increase wages so that real wages stay the same. This causes more inflation so they put wages up further, and so forth (the multiplier effect). Edit: It's just occurred to me - the government recently announced plans to introduce nation-wide congestion charging in an attempt to encourage more people to migrate to public transport. These attacks kind of screw that up really.

Yep, they added some extra anti-cheat code into 0.5 which seems to be a bit too over-sensitive. It's difficult to give a solution though because they haven't given us many details on the new anti-cheat stuff (for obvious reasons).

Lloyds of London also sufferred (one of the biggest insurers in the world, particularly for transport). But that's the whole point of insurance so I don't see why you're complaining. The idea is to spread the risk across thousands, possibly millions, of clients so that companies don't suffer very much from large external shocks like that. America is the world's largest economy so it would drag Europe down as well, because they are a large trading partner.

who's you? we don't run the country, were just pawns, not our fault They conducted a poll and the majority of people in the UK said that they didn't want to go to war.... so they went anyway. Ok, they made a lot of people's lives better abroad but compromised the lives of their own citizens.

I pretty much said what you did but I wanted to add the fact that not much has actually been officially confirmed.

I think voice comms are only really useful for gangs and so for those reasons, I don't think it should be built in (80% rule).

Er... shouldn't we be blaming Al Quaeda? (spelling?) Blair and Bush may have encouraged it, yes, but the terrorists actually pressed the trigger. It was nice to see the way everyone was so calm though, and there was a great sense of community spirit. You see that kind of thing in documentaries about World War 2 and the Blitz. I'm going to London in 2 weeks' time and was meant to be using the Tube but now I'm not so sure if I should. However, other people may also be thinking the same as me which would mean there would be hardly anyone on it.

If audio commands were implemented, there would have to be anti-spamming precautions and some way of ignoring annoying users, like Tribes 2 has. Unreal Tournament probably has this as well.

Imagine that in real life. Tight fit eh? He right, SA is based on real life, so Blue has to be realistic, or there will be to much fiction If it was exactly the same as real life, there'd be no point at all in playing it. People generally play games to escape from reality, whether they realise it or not. I don't think such limitations should be placed upon mod makers because it may constrain their creativity.
-
Some people don't though. I think that's a better idea than automatically punishing or forgiving them because it often depends on the situation.
-
They'd never tell you that.

Deathmatch and some race are standard released by the team, other gamemodes can be user made with the SDK Actually, they've only mentioned the race mode so far. We do not yet know what the other modes will be. They haven't revealed that at the present time. They don't make a habit of giving release dates (remember the Half-Life 2 fiasco?) It will most likely be possible for a mod maker to add this ability if it does not already exist in an existing gamemode. Again, too early to say.
-
Yeah, whatever the reason for it, it's still not excusable.
-
Perhaps not in deathmatch but it'd be good in an RPG mode.
-
Blue is just a "shell" for running mods. It's completely different to the previous versions. When you download MTA:SA, you download Blue and several default mods which make up the different game modes. The only mode we know about at the moment is a race mode. They haven't specified whether there will be a deathmatch mode in the first release yet.
-
They said that they'll sync drivebys at one point but it's currently unknown whether this will be in the initial release or not. Also bear in mind that drivebys may have been synced in Blue but they may not initially have a gamemode that takes advantage of it (the only gamemode we know of at present is a racing mode).
-
But the "RPG topic" isn't an RPG topic as such, it's just one person's idea for an RPG mode.
-
ehrm, that isn't possible with the normal earth physics. Yeah, everything falls at the same speed regardless of mass unless acted on by another force. Air resistance would be greater on the helicopter because it's bigger so it would actually be slower. *puts on nerd glasses*
-
They haven't said they'll quit it. They said it's not a priority at the moment. At least we have VC and GTA3 multiplayer in one form or another. SA has nothing except the GTAT devshot which needs a lot more work.
-
Oh yeah, I forgot to nitpick the rest of your statement. Firstly, they may have synced things in a different order to SA-MP and did not sync things in order of difficulty as you seem to have presumed. Also, they don't tend to mention every little thing that they've synced anyway so it's possible that these already are in place. Secondly, you say "if people will hate that version too", yet it's likely that they will in comparison to the technology in SA-MP because it runs on the ancient 0.2 core that's severely limited in what it can do. That was the whole point of developing Blue. Also, such a failure would not be an end to MTA because it's an old core and they've got a better one around the corner (i.e. Blue).
-
Leave it to people who know what they're doing? The MTA team have been working on multiplayer mods for GTA for over 2 years, which is longer than anyone else. Edit: Oh, I see. You've just nullified your viewpoint by proving its bias.
