  1. bah, nm. im totally jacked again. while this topic needs to remain stickied, it needs to have this "solution" deleted. no one who posted in this thread is simple enough to have this "solution" as the source of their problem. no one.
  2. using connect instead of double click seemed to help my issue.
  3. that idea is PERFECT. it allows the server operator to classify what maps are under which category. then the MTA guys change the interface to either allow random maps, or some type of folder view.. map selection needs to be based on what the server operator wants, not what the game is hardcoded to do
  4. pageup/pagedown would be the BEST solution in ALL cases
  5. REF: http://toca.game-editing.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=488 what would it take to ensure collaboration with Racer and the MTA team to either integrate this feature, or allow some sort of bypass? it is IMPERATIVE that this tool be integrated somehow!! PETITIONED!!!
  6. denial isnt just a river in egypt. and the "hypocrite" retort was pretty weak. you backed it up with nothing (not surprisingly) and you have definitly succeded in my forshadowing of upcoming foolheartedness. sitddown and shaddup
  7. who gives a rats ass if he triple posts? the man is giving us a rundown of how hes been trying to fix his problem (again the blind leading the blind without the damn devs here).. what happens when he triple posts? does your computer crash? does your mom have to get heart surgery? does the internet bog down? no. so stop bitching. and dont try to respond with some stupid "technical" reason he shouldnt triple post - you will make a fool of yourself.

  9. /me breaks your finger because the wiki doesnt solve shit for this problem if you had read the post originally, it explains the relation of the splash screen to this issue
  10. the problem is NOT with the game, its something with MTA. the lack of dev assistance will ensure this problem does not get corrected. everything else is useless speculation.
  11. considering he only capped once, i think its a fair expression of frustration, and is doing no harm. so, veto'd.
  12. yea, i had attempted that while i was reaking the wiki... doesnt work. were still stumbling in the damn dark here
  13. wheres the dev guys providing help? this is the blind leading the blind, and its clearly not working. i have the most updated drivers and like i said, i tried everything. the wiki doesnt help shit! " * Q: San Andreas does not start after the MTA:SA splash screen ("stop playing with yourself") finishes loading. A: Try holding down your control key as you start MTA. It should prompt you for where GTA is installed. Make sure you select the correct folder and see if that helps. " nope. can i get a dev to please state "weve seen this, and in x cases we did this" or "working as intended" or something?
  14. having the exact same problem. i thought initially that it was due to having installed that offline 2 player mod thing, so i uninstalled. after 3 times of uninstalling both, same problem. the process begins (the splash screen), i see that the process runs for a split second, but it seems like something intentially stops the process from continuing. i never get errors or anything. the process just dies. singleplayer works just fine. whats the solution?
