and i personally dont miss them, imagine if there was a class with a rocket launcher? they would be unbeatable, snipers i could live with, cause lag would naturally balance that out

the "glue idea" (otherwise known as "carsurfing")has always been a wish of mine. who doesn't want to have a chainsaw/fist/sword fight on top of a moving bus? or get one of those huge army transports and load it up with people, it would be a parade of death! or swoop in on a helicopter just like neo, and blast the heck out of oncoming traffic. oh the possibilities. anyways, it would definitly be a reasonable alternative to enabling driveby shootings, should that prove to be impossible

alright, i havn't seen this discussed indepth so her goes: i dont like the idea that on a bike, you do a stunt, and land on your,...ahem, butt, and still get the full amount of money for it. Would it be difficult to add something that says if you wipe out, you get X amount of money taken away? it would give insentive for people to land their tricks, instead of just spinning out any which way, crashing, and getting payed big time.

not to say that it's impossible, just impractical.

you do get an advantage, i've seen skyline mods where there is a whole network of roads up high, so in dm you can escape someone chasing you, and even the simple mods like a few extra ramps in dm can help you take cover from fire without others knowing it. And dont forget, the next stunt server will (hopefully) have a money-based scoreboard, so when you do use thes extra ramps, you will have an advantage. altering handling codes is absolutly cheating as well, and as far as I, and many other people are concerned, none of these "mods" are defendable. one thing that i could care less about is the asthetical mods. as long as you dont alter the handling, who cares if your bike has a different skin.

cheating in stunt mode is still cheating. i doubt they would change all their files back to original just to play dm. if we start accepting cheaters in one mode of play, it will definitly leak into the other. we cant have double standards, no cheating period. PS a mod is cheating as well, just cause your nifty ramp isnt called a "hack" or a "trainer" or a "cheat" doesnt make it any less of one. you are altering the game for your advantage, and that is cheating

one last suggestion for all of you: KNOPPIX LINUX: http://www.knoppix.net/ this is a bootable linux cd, so if you can put a cdrom in the computer and reboot, you have a spyware free operating system. the blocking will still be there, but it gives you a lot more control and options. knoppix + proxy server = freedom

it's not a bug in programming, but a hole in the map itself. the vc mapper either forgot to put an actual roof there, or didnt think it would matter, so we see the roof, but its only visual. both games have them throughout, but this one is unusually big

yeah,there are tons of other great places too. the only reason the airport is so busy, is because everyone spawns as the mexican, and after 20 minutes, the vehicles are gone so everyone is kinda stranded there

so you have a limited amount of places to open up, and you have t choose? then i see why you chose the mall and the mansion, they are the better of the indoor environments.

id hate to say it, but i do think alt-tabbing should automatically disconnect. it would cause a lot of headaches, yes, but too many times have i engaged them in battle, only for them to alt-tab before dieing untill i go away. people seem to think of it as a valid form of defence, and i think its just cheap.

its also possible that your problem is as simple as you typing in the ip address wrong.
