colored names in mta! make not shooting my allies a lot easier

well, im sure i've told the mta team this before: good job fellas, we really appreciate you doing this mod, I've dedicated a lot of time playing this mod, but i know it can't compare to the time you have dedicated to making it. Creating this mod definitly should get you guys some jobs in game development (should you choose to do this professionally), so don't think that you are wasting your time here. Thanks for helping me get one step closer to my goal of never having to leave my computer.

i veted to keep working on gta3, because i really enjoy liberty, but due to the fact that you are even asking this question, im led to beleive that you are feeling a little streched out and you want to focus on one game. it's too bad it didnt work out with gtawo, that would have solved this whole issue

with the ability to write irc scripts and have them play out in mta, creating roleplaying scenerios is more than possible. of course right now there are limitations.

that would be a great way to incorporate this "glue" thing, have it so that you can walk on top of cars and slide off normally, but when you crouch, you stay right on top. this would provide balance as well, because with some heavy weapons, you can't crouch and shoot. so you might fall off. it's definitly something that we would like considered, if not for all vehicles, at least helicopters. i could see it looking stupids with 6 people crouching on the roof of a car driving down the street of course, it would make them vulnerable to attack while on top, and while they're inside the vehicles they are protected.

oh yeah, and while they're at it, they could make max payne or minesweeper multiplayer. ooh ooh, how about multiplayer solitair!!!

now when have you played on a server with 30 people at the same time in the same area? hasn't happened to me yet

i don't reeally see the need for a caps kick. i've never really seen caps abused, and if it is, it's not so annoying to warrant an instant kick. having people kicked for typing 1 word caps is really annoying, especially because there is no way of keeping your score after a disconnect ( having it save your score for a minute after disconnecting would help a lot for crashes)

by far one of (if not the) best editing i've seen in a stunt vid. oh yeah, the stunts were good too

i agree with some of what he is saying. the mta team itself has been a victim of censorship http://forum.mtavc.com/viewtopic.php?t=1056 although i respect you right to disallow certain offensive language, (according to what i've heard, it is pretty overly strict.) i do believe that it is merely part of the game. i don't see this in many other multiplayer games, and i hope to hell that i never will. btw: STFU is an acronym, people use it rather than saying the whole sentence partly not to swear, but still express their point (the person should shut up) now lets count how many times we see the acronym RTFM in the forum and irc EDIT: yeah, i was one of the people who said it in the forum)

i haven't seen this mentioned before, but this seems like as good a place as any to mention: did anyone notice that netbus uses the same default port as mta?(2003) this might give people problems with network security applications, but i havn't heard of anything like that yet.

that couldnt have been an accident, nobody is that dumb that they would post a self incriminating photo. or maybe.......

thats a good idea, have health or armor pickups cost money, as well as respawning. so people might be a little more careful with their lives.

this is exactly what everyone hears me scream about "Slothman:VCK: EVERYONE RECYLE YOUR VEHICLES" instead of a "car recycler" class, why not just give anyone who blows up cars a monatary bonus? of course cars still at their spawn point would have to be someway be exemt from this rule.

a good suggestion for this mod of play: the hunted cant use a helicopter, or a cycle. chasing deathb around for half an hour just got boring, cause he was on the cycle.

can you guys name good tool for determining which port on your system are active and what they are doing?

blast radius makes it pretty damn hard to dodge, even through walls

right now you can find some "mod friendly" servers where you can use your map mods. however, DO NOT use map mods on a server that doesn't specifically say that you are allowed.

most of us knew that the only reason for not having it yet is that it's not possible yet, but we were debating wether or not we would like this feature added in when it is possible. of course you guys can do whatever you want, with no regard to our opinions.

sorry i missed it. i hadn't heard that there was an event. do i need to stay in irc all the time from now on? BTW: i can't find this by searching, so i'll ask: how do you get the different arena inside?
