good point. but seeing as there is no real way to measure someones leadership and gang-making skills, it's important to let people get to know you before they consider joining a gang. Someone could be a real nice guy, but we won't know that till we hear a little from them. example: already Ares has proven not to have much tact. (although he seems to genuinely want to start a gang) how many people do you think will join his gang?

i like the idea of someone being able to drop off the checkpoints. it would be cool to see some creative tracks made up anyone for a race around the aboveground train tracks, off onto a building, around the peirs, down into the tunnels?

ive suggested this before, but here it goes again: walking peds should be included,but not synced. just make it so they dont have any physics! so they dont effect tragectory or anything. that way, we can have peds, but no bandwidth is taken

by "grainy", do you mean blurry? there is a setting to make everything have an "after-image" of sorts. its in the video settings. it is on by default, so i assume thats what your talking about

the problem is who qualifies as a gang. sure, a gang could have 50 members, but how many people are active? also it sets up an eleteist scenerio: "oh, you haven't posted enough in the forum, you cant be in a gang"/"your gang is full of newbies, your not worth acknowledging" if it was done fairly, this is a great idea. maybe a small (teeny tiny) webpage for each gang?
