if all else fails, you can set up yer own proxy. (don't ask me how, it's too complicated to say in a forum)

the great thing about google is that the school won't block it. cause its freakin google! for hotmail, what i did was simple. just get a copy of the main page on disk or at another site (geocities) and use it to log in. you need to redownload it every once and a while, but it worked like a charm. of course this depends on which filter is on at yer school.

the gui was one of the first things completed. so they had time to make it have a config file, so you don't have to input yer name, version, server, etc. every time. i guess just having it work was priority. user-friendliness be damned. (i use linux)

im running me on a duel boot with mandrake 9.1. i'm thinkin about going back to 98se, but i will NEVER install xp, or the new one in the works; "longhorn" it just takes too much power from the user. I have been able to play mta over a lan with no more problems than could be expected. haven't tried over the internet, cause i want to hide my 56k shame

GOURANGA! don't know what it means, but i loved getting it by splattering those stupid cults in GTA. i really missed it in the sequels. wonder why there's no mention of it anymore
