alright, 1 more: there was a cheater on the small official server calling himself Ben Laden. I believe he was french, and stupid. very very stupid. someone in the server cried out "ben isa cheating" so, not beleiving it unless i see it for myself, i investigate. and lo and behold, the guy takes a bombarding from three people at once, without a scratch, his ping is fine,. no doubt in my mind he's cheating. so, being level headed, i went to irc, and suprise suprise, no admins on at the time. ah well, time for some vigilanteism. the cheater was located at the road going to the airport, and i hopped into a jeep to try and pin him under it (the jeep is very effective for this), It worked out better than i hoped, because the cheater was not simply pinned, but pushed into the fence, trapping him inside the fence. he could walk back and forth along the fence, but not get out of it, and half of his bullets did not go through it, rendering him trapped and reletively harmless. being a dimm bulb, he stayed there for about 45 minutes! through which time we made sure to stop there and honk just to mock him (i have a screenie, just need to upload it) he eventually got out, and i made sure to heli the bastard as often as possible, but he'll never forget that even cheating can't protect him.

a script request: 1on1: a script where 2 people call a 1on1 match between eachother. and if anyone interferes by killing them, then they are kicked/temp banned, and if the duelers attack anyone else, they get kicked/temp banned (both of them at once) add to that a scoring system i realize this isn't practical for large servers, too much could go wrong, but it would still be nice for a small server

I, knowing that a heli wouldnt last long, bailed, in a miraculous 20 ft jump onto the sister tower. while the noobs, were quickly dispatched in their flaming heli, kfc hadn't noticed me on the tower accross the way, and i made quick work of them, the whole time they were wondering where the bullets were coming from. of course i was stranded on the highest tower, and a kfc came back and took care of me. I don't think you guys use that tower anymore, huh? -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

cherry popper yard is the greatest. its great for fighting 1on1, and for some reason, n00bs can't find their way in.

that would have been me, deathb. and yes, the only tweaking that needs to be done is the racer. maybe grenades, and the sword instead of a hammer

crouching is what im missing

at first, it was a patch, but now you can download the full install of 0.3r2, and install that on a clean vice city.

now, i was hit hard by the mere 75 bullets that my favorite weapon has been given, but i invested those bullets in the bodies of nearby n00bs, and in a matter of moment, the stock had risin by more than 100X! i took the profits from the investments, and reinvested them in more n00bs, and my stock kept climbing. so my hot wallstreet tip: to earn more bullet capita, you have to put them into a high risk stock, and not squander them away in a bank hoping to gain interest.

its an interesting idea, i'm just worried about the gameplay becoming over-complicated. right now mta is a nice simple shooter/driving game that works on the old "you kill a guy, you get his stuff" principal. fighting can be fast paced and intense, i don't want to stop killing and say "hold on fellas, i gotta go buy some weapons", it interupts gameplay, and disturbes my "groove" of course, the more different types of gameplay, the better. if the irc stuff takes off, then who knows what new types of play can be conceived and scripted.

the only divergance between mta and the rest of the server based games is the client side deaths, which is the source of all these cheater problems.

now i feel like im missing out, cause i haven't been crashing any more often than before. i guess i need to join more servers with cheaters on them

zero, maybe you should relax and let the people who know handle this. there is a script that runs a manhunt mode in dm, but only on the official servers. you invoke it by tying in "!manhunt" i beleive. this isnt alwys available.

so this spectator mode runs outside mta, but does it work without any tweaking to mta or the server? how does it work? does the person show up in the player list, if so does it show in a different color or with a tag identifying them? does it work like the replay camera, or does it follow the person, and can it be free floating? n...n..n..need.......t...t..to.......s..satisfy.....curiosity!
