  1. Somehow I don't think the above person is kryptos. Far too many swearwords, not enough paragraphs and the post relates to the thread.
  2. It was mentioned elsewhere on this forum that the mods should be able to be switched 'live', in which case a server can run both, players can vote for either etc.

  4. Respawn isn't being put in because of voting problems, it's being put in because it should have been there in the first place. I said as much before release, long before any of us knew how irritating the voting would become. The reasons? Read them elsewhere they've been discussed enough times.
  5. laggy: Posting your own quotes risks making you look like a prat, especially if they aren't funny
  6. Nice to see such old much-discussed ideas reposted, thanks.
  7. Thats why the QA team had to turn xfire off whenever they tested
  8. The bug isn't that its buried, we've all seen that. Its that the vehicle is ginormous!
  9. Theres no weekly or monthly interview limit. The Team can give others.
  10. Added. We hope to have the first rounds of the solo championship this weekend. Probably with a lowish player limit to enable all to get a decent start and test actual race skills rather than the chaos that can ensue with a large group starting the race, we have around 20 entrants so far so perhaps rounds of 10 player races and a single 20 player round for fun? p.s. need some map suggestions, if youve played a decent user-made map that you think would be suitable then let us know here so it can be checked out. These can be straight race or deathmatch varieties.
  11. Exactly. I guess the QA team members above are remembering old information
  12. I don't see how limiting the framerate to 25 spoils the fun in any way at all. Unless of course you are one of these people who is more obsessed with statistics like winmark scores and FPS than actually playing games? It has been explained more than once the very real reasons for applying a universal limit in this way. 25fps is perfectly playable and uninstrusive.
  13. As DM will ship with an extended version of the map editor you obviously don't need specific gameplay suggestions, these can be created by the users after release if need be. Features wise the biggest Must-have that I can suggest above and beyond the Deathmatch features already seen in previous MTA's is proper support for Team play. This would include: Freindly fire options Sectioned scoreboard with individiual team listings and scores Team and public text chat (the former only your team mates can see) Radar options: Team only appear, enemy only. Range options - how close you are when the blips appear/dissapear. Team specific goals in the editor - For example the flags (or briefcases or whatever) in a user-made capture the flag map would be team specific objects, one belongng to team one, the other to team two. The hill in a king of the hill mode however would be a universal pickup. (these could be assigned in the F3 menu, allowing users to 'flag' areas, objects, vehicles, anything that they wish) And that is pretty much all that would be required to open up a massive new set of game options, teamed with some of the suggested editor additions such as zones (exclusion or the opposite), hundreds of potential maps and game modes become possible.
  14. So you choose to take things out of context and view everything in the worst light you possibly can, (yet I notice you all happily ignore the dozens of instances of the team praising other mods and clamping down on those trying to start flaming topics and discussions regarding them) so what? It's just a few words in an interview. Get over it and move on. Oh and 'moraly corrupt' really made me laugh out loud, thanks mate
  15. eAi stated elsewhere that the two modes (and others presumably as they are developed) should be able to be switched live.
  16. Didn't you read the news post regarding it on there? Get in touch with Kent via this forum or the IRC and he will activate it manually when he gets a chance.
  17. What is so hard to understand is how you say it is 'CALLED:' then put no name. Twice! gg. Smart. Nice one. Wonder what you do for an encore.. p.s. Don't double post please, edit your previous instead next time.
  18. I wanted them wayyy back in MTAVC 0.2 dev when I was choosing weapons for each class. Stinger was to be the Police characters greatest weapon (against speeders anyway) but unfortunately it wasn't to be ;(
  19. And thats exactly what mtasa:race excels at.
  20. Technically any unaltered original file from the installation is copyright. After all if you had enough people offering different files from it you would be able to download the entire game! The gtalc mod that you refer to doesn't include any files that shipped with any of the retail games.
  21. I read through the entire forum periodically, I'm not targeting you specifically or anything, so don't feel repressed
  22. I think you typo'd your gang name. Is it supposed to be Notorious Otter Suburbs (little ranks of holes in quieter riverbanks presumably) or Notorious Outer Suburbs?
  23. Presumably because they want the people with less skill and less luck to die. It helps those with the opposite to win and increases the challenge, therefore the fun.
  24. I've seen that a few times in my many hours of GTA gaming, I posted some screens once when it happened to me in gta3:mta, not sure where they are now though. I wouldn't worry about it unless it happens regularly. EDIT: Found one instance:
