It'd be pretty easy to increase the weight of some vehicles, or alter the gravity. But of course if the vehicles all have the same weight increase then 'equal and opposite force' law comes into play and the collisions would be very similar.

Red has submitted three, two are definately going to be used, the third will be if some fixes are applied. Thanks Red.

S.A.R.L - San Andreas Racing league - Entrants, discussions
Si|ent replied to Si|ent's topic in Leagues and events
Theres no finalised list yet, it's a good idea though, perhaps I could add it to the Sarl Noticeboard. Only issue is many aren't on the center or anywhere to be downloaded as yet. Once all are gathered I'll make a pack containing them all that entrants can download to practice on if they wish. Meanwhile many of the ones made so far are on Janis SARL server at 85.234.136.102:22003 along with a couple gleaned from elsewhere that will be used. -
I'm looking for a script that will state a message for each map (description or specific instructions) as it is loaded, along with the ability to run maps in a certain order (changeable). Can yours do this?
-
Unfortunately so are 1746 others (at time of posting) and the good ones tend to be missed or get lost in the flood of inferior or just plain broken ones. It takes someone to point one out for it to have a chance of success or usage beyond servers that download them all. These sound fun, we'll test them out tonight and see if they are suitable for SARL.

S.A.R.L - San Andreas Racing league - Entrants, discussions

Added you four. Please remember to PM me an active email address when entering as this is how most events will be announced. Maps are coming together nicely. UK Red sent me some yesterday that went down well in testing, Brophy is also making one or two for us. We still need a couple of chaos maps (ramps, car changes, new scenery.. anything goes). And possibly some boat based ones, and we can begin. -
No, but that's not really relevant.

As the editor is going to be adapted to it I'm sure there will be no limits placed on map area used. However, I strongly suggest steps are taken to prevent what has happened with the race maps - i.e hundreds of really quite poor and even non-working ones getting spread via the centre. It's really important that MTA DM has a very strong identity upon release. This means shipping it with a small number of very high quality, well thought out, maps/game modes. Rather than putting in dozens and diluting the whole thing. The gang community need a 'standard' to get ahold of, the rest of the community will also need something familiar to play, something standard to define what MTA is, something they can find on many servers at any time. This doesn't rule out creating customised maps and modes of course, but a line should be drawn between them. Think Half Life multiplayer on the one hand (MTA DM) and the many halflife mods (MTA DM Custom) on the other

I need to ensure there are admins in place before launching the server, so I cannot really do as you suggest.

I'm having a similar problem locating the hay bales. Anyone know what section they are under?
-
..and you won't hit anyone.

Is it that hard to find an image of an actual NOS bottle?
-
EDIT: changed my mind, remove this please someone.

I'm more interested in what an OJ map is. I've never heard of them (probably along with most of the forum) From the name I imagine it's a person driving a rancher very slowly followed by people in police cars driving equally slowly?
-
He's talking about stingers. The strips of hollow spikes that police throw across the road to slow vehicles to a stop. It is on topic as I mentioned them in my initial post.

In preperation for launching the new MTA:SA Race server over at jolt.co.uk we are calling for experienced admins interested in maintaining watch over it. Applicants should have at least 6 months experience of playing MTA and preferably some experience in administrating a server. They should be able to provide character references from known members of the MTA community. Interested parties should contact myself at [email protected] Meanwhile we are hard at work gathering a collection of exciting new maps to launch with. Some of which will be exclusive to Jolt. If you have played a custom map and would like to recommend it then please do so on the forums at http://forums.jolt.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=1317 and we will check it out with a view to including it.

hehe, he knows that, he's asking what: noob's ftl pro's ftw means ftl = for the lose, losers ftw = for the win, winners

A shame that it isn't totally accurate. For instance in the entry for my router it states Yet this is not so. I have a dynamic ip yet I port forward perfectly well with it.
-
Indeed they would. Why did you post this twice?

S.A.R.L - San Andreas Racing league - Entrants, discussions

Added you both. Matthew where and how will be announced both here and via mass-email for those that dont read the forum that often (i'll require you to PM me a suitable email address please). A US server may be usefull if the pings on Janis are poor for Americans. It will start as soon as we have a few more maps. I'm awaiting either custom made ones for SARL or recommended maps from elsewhere / standard map pack. -
Great, we have an irc channel for those interested irc://irc.multitheftauto.com/SARL And an official SARL server (provided by Jani) @ 85.234.136.102:22003 This currently runs most of the custom made sarl maps and nothing else, and will be where your maps are hosted for both practice and competition once they are accepted.

The San Andreas Racing league needs some more custom races, we have several Straight racing road tracks and offroad, (pick your route carefully and mind that throttle) created already, However we currently require: o Several 'Chaos' maps that feature the whackyer side of MTASA, car changes, ramps etc o Straight racing maps, no health pickups or car changes. Minimal object placing (any placed must be realistic) o Airborne maps, both race, mission and straight DM. o Rallycross tracks featuring both tarmac and sand/grass/dirt traversing. o We may consider boat races too, Ive yet to play an exciting or challenging one though so I remain sceptical . The only 'rules' for these maps are: o No health pickups (except chaos maps, they can have anything you like) - Nitro is fine. o Preferably 32 player starts (16 minimum at a push). PROPER ones though, choose a starting location where the cars can be single file and not a cluster that prevents the people in the second row from moving. 2 lines of 16 or 4 lines of 8 in different locations is perfectly acceptable providing all are around the same distance from the first checkpoint. Feel free to make more than one version of your race, each featuring a different vehicle. Provided they handle differently enough to provide a unique challenge. (for example RingroadSARL has two versions, Admiral and Infernus. The track itself is identical) Anyone interested in entering the league itself can do so here: http://forum.mtavc.com/viewtopic.php?t=14745

Roadblocks look good, I especially like the overturned truck. I wish more people would try and maintain a little realism in thier routes
-
Perhaps you hit the F key that turns them on and off when taking a screenshot or something?

I would never trash talk you :o so just your :o before it you :o. Thanks.
