Having installed MTASA and played happily for days I today decided to download and install the server. It appears that doing this overwrites details (registry settings?) and gives the above error, a simple re-install of MTA:SA (with server UNticked) fixed the issue. Hope this helps.

S.A.R.L - San Andreas Racing league - Entrants, discussions
Si|ent replied to Si|ent's topic in Leagues and events
We need to decide on some scoring, what happens if all players die in a race for instance (quite likely in some of the DUO match maps being created) Do we give points depending on order of death? Do we give no points at all, do we give a single point to the team that got to the furthest checkpoint? (in race maps) What do you think? -
Wouldn't the editor also need patching to give the option wether to allow respawn or not for a particular map?

Zones, Id like the ability to create a zone, be it an exclusion zone that disqualifies the racer should he enter it, or a zone that can be given other properties, a pickup for instance, nitro, car change, repair. I've expermented with making enormous coronas but it hasnt really worked too well Random checkpoints. Id also like the ability to remove the enforced order for checkpoints and simply require each racer to pass through each one a single time, leaving the player to decide on his route. Timed sections, setting a particular amount of time allowed to pass from one section to another, failure = disqualification. Anti-pickups, slow down, loss of grip, warp to previous checkpoint, puncture tyres, place exploding barrel in front of vehicle and others. Hazards to try and avoid basically. Also remote anti-pickups, similar but the person driving over them gets to choose which OTHER racer to inflict them on. Placing objects in a line, holding CTRL (for example) would prevent movement of the cloned object forwards or backwards, allowing items to be placed in a straight line easily - Spawn order I'd like to be able to change the order and priority of spawn in the same way checkpoints can be re-ordered. Surface placing. F9 clone would automatically place the object on the ground, or upper surface the pointer is on, rather than at the same level as the cloned object wich often results in buried objects. Triggered object removal/movement. Be it via a timer or an object/checkpoint. Enablign barriers to be removed at appropriate times Object animation. The ability to set things spinning or sliding from one side to another. Disabled weapons What it says on the tin. Especially usefull for the RC Plane and the hydra to prevent combat in pure races/fun maps.

As the intention is to integrate mta into GTA as much as possible, providing as smooth a transition as possible and the appearance of an 'included' multiplayer as shipped in other games, keeping the original loading screens and videos fits in nicely

What is good to someone else may not be good to you (nor thier format be compatible with your pad) why not simply create your own to suit your own needs?
-
Erm ok that is a start, now what about all the rest of the information?
-
GTASA isn't available on CD in the UK, it is elsewhere however.
-
You need mtama (multitheftauto mirc admin) for those scripts, check the addons section fo the forum for details
-
What are the specifications of both computers? Including network connections and OS.
-
Get the latest drivers. Failing that perform some upgrades your pc or simply ramp up detail at 800x600 and play.
-
cant load MTA, screen disappears after few seconds...
Si|ent replied to gtaman's topic in Race Client-side
That isn't the same problem at all. -
Those three should be allowed to continue driving around if they wish without being forced to restart by some impatient and selfish players. That's what free roam is for. The only time map voting is legitimate is at the end of a race to change it to one that the majority wish to pay in place of the next in the maplist, or when one or more players are AFK causing the current race not to end.

No, you can play the CD version however which is identical in every way except it is on multiple CD's. (didn't I already tell you that?)
-
lets see if there's anything decent to rent rent robpol yeah i rented that game john its really fun while it lasted but as you progress it gets better and better and the end is very satisfying
-
There is no difference, the data is just spanned across the CD's for those that don't have DVD hardware.
-
Q: Have I got this wrong? A: Yes we should.

Map preference is down to taste the same as anythign else is. So your question is impossible to answer definitively. As for your maps sucking that may well be because they are the same as almost every other user-made one being churned out. Try to come up with some original ideas and situations for them.

ASE (and therefore the MTA browser) does NOT show local servers. We need this information somewhere obvious! getting tired of telling different people every day.
-
Have you installed an RSS reader?
-
very nice indeed, great to be able to browse all 70 release maps in this way as only the truly addicted with too much time on thier hands will have played them all in most servers Any chance of an uploader so people can show others thier work?
-
Hardly, I average a 20 ping in UK servers and 30-70 to other parts of europe.
