If you're having a problem - any problem (Crashes, errors whatever): 1: Close other open programs try 2: Check you've got the correct version chosen in the top right hand corner of the client try 3: Try version 1.0 if you're using version 1.1, or vice versa try 4: Check you have the latest video drivers try 5: Use the search feature to check if your problem has been resolved before try 6: Reinstall MultiTheftAuto try 7: Reinstall Vice City try 8: Post on these forums with a full description of hardware and OS setup. If you really reach step 8 after trying all the others, I'm sure people will be happy to help, otherwise they'll just get irritated. eAi

well the issue is more what else are you running when that message appears? Are you using 1.0 or 1.1? Your problem looks like an scm issue, but thats not somthing you can fix... Try 1.0 if you're using 1.1, and vice versa. Make sure every other window that is open is closed if you're having the trainer issue. eAi

Sometimes I've found the k-lite codec pack to prevent things from playing. I've found that the media player "VLC" is very good at playing things that otherwise won't play, as it is "codec-free" - i.e. the codecs are built in (useful for places you can't install codecs). Its open source and avaliable at http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ for virtually every OS there is... eAi

That thread was locked so I couldn't ask my question in there. This thread was the next best thing. I would still like to know the font. As you can see I've done my own version of the image, and I'd like to use the same font for that part. At the moment I'm using Trebuchet, which is the nearest I've got. Why not just edit that original picture?eAi

I think the issue is b0b0, I've spent a lot of time developing bits and bobs for Vice City, so I'm pretty clear about what it can do. When this topic came up IJs refered me to it, and I made a small app to see how well it would work. The conclusion was that it would be a massive undertaking to implement fully, and that there would always be problems with items being in the way of the predefined paths. I don't think you have any real basis to critise what suggestions I "deny". I've spent a huge ammount of time developing some seemingly easy features of our new core (thats weeks, working 18 hours a day). One thing that people may not realise is that this new core, is tottaly new, and as no-one has any idea about its feature set, many suggestions are unneccessary. I think that once the new core is released, we'll see the suggestions we recieve changing a lot. eAi
