  1. Yes, but unless R* port Vice City to Mac, there'd be no point. As VC uses DirectX and not OpenGL, it'd be harder, as they'd have to rewrite their graphics functions. Anyway, thats not going to happen. eAi

    Lagger

Try connecting two computers with a cross over cable and try replacing the network cables... eAi
  3. StAnToN, unlike the dubious projects you get involved in, we do not "hype" MTA until we actually have somthing to show, i.e. a released version. eAi
  4. The MTA team do not actively try to stop people using "downloaded gtavc", though we definitely do not condone the use of such software, to play MTA or otherwise.eAi
  5. When they released Vice City, they claimed it was somthing like twice the size of Liberty City, though I also find that hard to believe. eAi

Just wait and see what the future holds eAi
  7. StAnToN, you haven't a clue what causes those problems, don't pretend you do.eAi
  8. That should be possible with the new core. eAi
  9. As you stated, i.e. the 2nd release will have 2 gta3 maps, and the 3rd all three. The purpose of this method is that we can release 0.4 so you can play it without spending as much time on it as we would have to for all three islands. It also gives us a bit more time to add new functions, e.g. the 2nd release will have some new functions, which will work on both maps...eAi
  10. Its perfectly leagal to lend your cd to a friend, as long as it isn't installed on more than one computer at once. eAi
  11. What OS do you have? 9x or NT based? (MTA only works on 2k/xp) What graphics card do you have? (you need the latest drivers if you have an ATI radeon) By blue do you mean a Blue Screen Of Death (with writing on?) Are you talking about GTA3 or Vice City? eAi
  12. Again... All these points have been stated/answered before... Please use the search option before posting! Locked eAi
  13. We ain't even reached 1.0 yet, so expecting 4.0 is a bit premature. eAi
  14. No, you're confused, thats the code name for the next version of windows. eAi

The only reason we don't have drive bys, rocket launchers, sniper riffles and hunter weapons enabled is due to our current inability to do so, not because we're evil or we like irriatating people (though thats true ). eAi
  16. We've got a codename we use for the new core, but we're keeping that "under wraps" for the moment. eAi
  17. Well I don't want to get into this, but Valve do at least communicate about delays, unlike many developers who say nothing or hide behind their publishers. eAi
  18. I think from now on, till we give the new core a name, the new core will be called "new core" and 0.4 will always mean the new client (thats about to come out). eAi
  19. Ok, here is some information, we're currently finishing some final bugs in 0.4, when these are fixed, we'll have a few playtests of each game, fix bugs and release. We can't give a release date, because we don't know how much we'll have to do, and we're doing this in our spare time. As for the new core, we're confident that it'll completely revolutionise the way MTA is played, and once 0.4 is out of the door, we’ll be releasing some information on what it is. Do remember that there will be three itterations of 0.4, one for each island, though obviously these shouldn't take anywhere near as long as 0.4, but we should be implementing more than just the new map into each itteration (i.e. new features). None of this is set in stone. eAi
  20. These two are bugs, that will be improved in the future, i'm sure people here can offer you advise on how to counteract these glitches... eAi
  21. I think we ought to point out that the features in 0.4 are locked down now, so making suggestions here won't get them in 0.4... You never know about the new core though eAi
  22. As we've said over and over again, we won't support mods of any sort at the moment. eAi

    HAX

The team is perfectly aware of the problems with 0.3, which were mainly due to the "radar" bug fix, and we know the solutions ourselves... eAi
  24. The server stores the score based on ID, so when you disconnect, you're ID is recycled, so next time you reconnect you may have another ID, and concequently, it'd be hard to reliably join your score to you again. Of course, with the new core, this would be possible. eAi
  25. Well, we know why, San Andreas is a state, which contains the three cities.eAi
