Install MTA 0.3b Install ASE (http://www.udpsoft.com/eye) run ASE. answer the wiz's questions... once you're finished that, go to the View menu, go options, and click on the games tab. Search for GTA3:MTA (NOT just MTA... took me a while to figure that out)and select it. Go browse... and find mta.exe, (should be in your GTA3 folder). Select it, make sure the little check box is checked, and click OK. now click on the little MTA icon on the left, hit refresh, and there ya go.

Ctrl-alt-del. The performance tab. check to see that none of the categories to do with memory (I believe that include page file usage too) are nearly full... if you only have a little bit of memory, then go to the processes tab and try freeing up some, by closing tasks. If it turns out that you're using up all of the memory on your machine... well.. you really need some RAM.

well, there are 3 methods. one is to use the built in screenshot thing, (forget which key to press... I think it was F11). But I think you can only take one screenshot per GTA3's running... You can also use 'print screen'. That'll copy the screen onto the clipboard. Open up MS paint and paste it in. There are many other programs on the internet that will allow you to press a key to take a screenie, though I haven't used any of them before (i've never needed to take a screenie in gta3 )

ASE is for finding servers... it's like the server browser in half-life, or most any other game. EVERYONE seems to be confused about the people on the roof. who are they? are they peds? are they other players? both, sort of. When you join a server, you become one of those people on the roof. You are then teleported to the other roof, where you choose your team. Another way to think about it: you are an evil, mind-taking over alien thing. Those players on the roof are your hosts. You join the server, and you take over the mind of your host. Then, by magic, you're transported on top of a building, where you get to choose which kind of other mind-stealing alien things you want to be friends with. (a.k.a. choosing your team) simple as dat (at least I THINK that's correct... I'm 85% certain that's how it works.) If you're around blokker, could you confirm that for me?
