MAFIA is the bugged one. There isn't really much one can do in MTA... no game modes, and it's so difficult to get going in a server, that no one really goes in there for long. Shooting works barely... Running people over does stuff, but it takes a while to kill them... Appearing on the hospital IN your car is an odd bug... Blips should only be on portland...

Disconnect and reconnect a few times... sometimes that works.

It's just an image from GTA3... It'd take a looong time to get that in MTA. No idea about radar stuff... maybe in 0.35... Don't go to staunton... you can take the tunnel, or fly the plane over there, but you aren't supposed to go there. That's usually just a bug that causes someone to appear in staunton... or someone choosing their teams.

I'd say MTA is the most developed of all the mods... well, unless a new mod is released... and it looks a new one will be soon...

well, make SURE that it's in the right directory... (launcher.exe and mta.exe should be in the same folder as gta3.exe)... The Installer for MTA has a bug, that makes it install into places like C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA III\Desktop\mta.exe C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA III\Backup\mta.exe instead of C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA III\mta.exe Maybe that's it...

Alright... even I'm getting confused... Install ASE, start it... answer all the wizards questions.... now, go view -> options, games tab Find GTA3:MTA under the 'Not installed' thing. Select it, and hit the 'browse...' button. find mta.exe (should be in C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA III\mta.exe) hit ok. now select GTA3:MTA from the list on the left hand side, click refresh, and that should do it.

when it freezes, hit alt-tab... see if there's an error message in the background.

hmm... alt-tab to MTA (both of you) and make sure that the 'data stream' (or something like that) is moving.. otherwise you're basically disconnected (although MTA doesn't say so).
