  1. nice driver2, its nice seeing good reviewers around to checkout maps
  2. Please use the 'Server browser' then press 'Refresh' to find servers. Then click on one and join. Quick connect will only work if you know the desired server IP and port
  3. MTA doesnt block SAAC, its something Racer_S has to correct, i'll get in touch with him (i asked ChrML a while back and this is what he said)

    is MTA a LAN

i thought the server browser could scan for LAN games anyway
  5. what about a script that forces a map change on a cycle so everyone gets a go?
  6. no...that's the map which it plots the .map onto, in a .jpg file
  7. Today I did some code for pickups in the deathmatch map files. These pickups can be weapons, health or armor pickups and they appear exactly like they do in singleplayer. Weapon pickups can be any weapon existing in GTA such as a pistol, a rocket launcher or a chainsaw. The weapon, along with ammo and respawn intervals are definable in the map files, allowing you to create very customized deathmatch maps. I tested this briefly and it appears to work . Health and Armor pickups aren't done clientside yet, but I expect this to be done tommorrow. Also Oli has also been working hard on some serverside stuff we're going to reveal later on . Watch this space!
  8. Please make sure you have downloaded the necessary map files http://talidan.littlewhitey.net/mtama/maps.rar and extracted them to your mta.mrc directory
  9. Actually I think being able to do this, along with the ability to race them time-trial style ingame, would be awesome. i meant that creating checkpoints in the map editor and expecting them to work in single player would be useless. But since you mention it...it'd be pretty cool but it'd require SCM mods and that's another story
  10. Yes, say you created a large city using the MTA map editor you could convert them for single player. THis is the same the other way round - if you used another tool to create maps that go straight into single player you can convert them to MTA
  11. No problem, that's what the help section is for
  12. Jani, as far as i know i dont think its illegal, though feel free to prove me wrong (i havent checked if there is a new EULA or something for the 2.0 version). But remember that MTA does not modify any of GTA's files, so there may be a possiblity of it working
  13. Please try to rephrase your post, as it isnt making sense. Also please try talking in french so a forum member can try deducing it's meaning.
  14. GTA_SA 2.0 support is likely in the future, though they will not work on it now. As for Windows Me support...this is unlikely. Rockstar have clearly stated in the 'Minimum Requirements' that you must either have Windows 2000 or WIndows XP to run San Andreas. Therefore there is not much point adding Windows Me support since the game is not even running properly on it, evidently.
  15. i reckon games with team games were originally an alternative to lack of co-operative, since most people always prefer playing alongside people rather than against, it makes things much more fun
  16. yeah changing clothes with the slow wardrobe pissed me off...looking for a specific suit then realising it was the wrong one..
  17. The converter doesnt convert the race itself, it converts the map files, creating checkpoints etc would be useless. The tool converts any user created maps made from custom objects and can place them in SA
  18. There are reasons why kyeman chose to leave the MTA team and make his own mod.
  19. Tommis, you need not worry about any conflicts with GRS, which goes down to easter eggs. I feel maybe it's a good idea to base new features on GRS, even go as far as copying it, and i'm sure Oli will support the decision since he is busy with other things and you can fill his place
  20. heh Oli finally got a break from GRS. Im glad someone has come to fill his place for mtama 4.x
  21. The mta team are still developing on-foot sync, though the release date is unknown You can follow the latest progress on on-foot sync at the blog http://www.mtasa.com/blog
  22. yeah i asked IJs for a whole lot of features in the server browser for r1, but i guess he didnt have the chance to implement it. The server browser needs quite a lot of improving. Id like to see: * Proper filters and filter selections * Favourite servers option * Recent servers option and a few others which i cant remember right now
