  1. Only if you're a programmer though.
  2. You seem to be forgetting: 1. It's a beta 2. The core and netcode are outdated 3. It's not made by a massive company with lots of resources 4. Blue is currently in development
  3. Sometimes it doesn't show up on your own machine but it shows up on other people's.

    PWNED PICS N SH*T

    They're down now unfortunately.
  5. Wasn't it a guide to glitching your way back to Shoreside if you crash on another island? Is that against the rules?

    MTA turizmo

They removed that literally at the last minute for stability reasons. I'd be interested to know if it's back in 0.5.1 though.
  7. Plus there's the bug where spawning as the Crusader twice kicks you because you have too much armour. Unfortunately, Zircon, the sad factor of life is that people will always try to cheat and we must pay the price for it. If you buy a nice sports car, your insurance premium will be extortionate because it's attractive to thieves. It's not your fault that people steal, but you'd still have to pay the price for it. I recently applied for a passport and had to go through all sorts of checks so that they could verify who I was (which was inconvenient) because other people had tried to exploit the system in the past. You get the idea.
  8. Or even better - the ability to specify the folder in mta.ini.
  9. It's up to server admins whether they want to run RPG scripts. I highly doubt that there will be an RPG mode in 0.5.1 Maybe Blue, but don't expect one.
  10. Do you have a firewall running? (remember that XP SP2 switches the XP firewall on by default)
  11. How can you say that a new spawn system wouldn't affect gameplay? I get the impression that you haven't played GTA3:MTA 0.5 yet, as you would understand that this is a VC conversion of Shoreside Vale's successful spawn system.
  12. From the Known Issues thread:
  13. Hmmm... that'll be why you're getting banned from servers automatically. Do you have a cracked client by any chance?
  14. It does crash less than 0.4. They didn't say it never crashes at all.

    hmm

Ironically, people who didn't buy it don't have Steam at all, so they don't inherit Steam's problems. Disclaimer: they do have other problems however.
  16. That's a shame. Staunton doesn't really see much action.
  17. This happened with 0.4. Also, why have MSN running if you're playing a game? You can't talk and play at the same time and alt-tabbing unfairly pauses you so that other players can't kill you. And anyway, closing all unnecessary applications often boosts performance.
  18. In the spawn menu screenshots, one of the options is "colour" (before you say it, I know I spelt it "wrongly"). Does this govern your colour on the radar? If so, is it intended for use in gang wars?
  19. It's doubtful because of their contract with Sony. SA's multiplayer on the PS2 is rudimentary and I think it's unlikely for the PC version to have fully-fledged multiplayer.
  20. 1. I think that's more suited to RPG servers than standard DM. It would be good to build up a character like with MMOG's and store it on the server. 2. Apparently Blue can be used to create boundaries. Also, you do not know the maximum number of players the core and SA can handle. I would imagine that SA's actor count is higher than VC's. 4. Pretty much the same reply as no. 2.
  21. That sounds really hard to do in GTA (if it's even possible). I do like the idea of owning garages though. Perhaps someone could challenge a garage owner to a race and if they win, they win the garage and if the garage owner wins, he unlocks extra powerups or something.
  22. How would the combat work? Doesn't Mario jump on people to kill them, or is that Sonic (excuse my ignorance)?
