  1. It sounds like you've set ASE to run gta-vc.exe instead of MTAClient.exe.

    Seting up a server

... because it didn't patch that problem. I've never seen that error before. Editing the file's easy and offers more options than the config utility. Just browse to your MTA\Server directory (default: C:\Program Files\Multi Theft Auto\Server) and open the mtaserver.conf file in Notepad. There are comments inside the file that explain what each feature does and how to change them.
  3. Yeah, spectator mode's quite useful for that (probably).
  4. This is a bug in 0.5 which will be fixed in 0.5.1. The program will try to connect to the internet to obtain a new MOTD upon startup. If you don't have internet access, it will crash. The fix is listed in the Known Issues thread: http://forum.mtavc.com/viewtopic.php?t=11098

    Unhandled Exception

Some cracks cause problems, particularly those with "extras" such as blood patches. There are also problems with censored versions of GTA, namely German and Australian ones.
  6. It's difficult to sync the peds without making it really laggy. Heck, it's laggy now - imagine how much more it would lag with pedestrians and cars going around.
  7. I never carkill. I'm just saying that the rules should be decided by the server admin and not some random guy who got pissed off because some one carkilled him.
  8. I think it's because they're new(er) to MTA and didn't see the older versions *remembers the complicated way you had to join the game in GTA3:MTA 0.3b*
  9. That doesn't necessarily mean my decision would be correct though.
  10. Ah yeah. That's a bug in 0.5 (fixed in 0.5.1). See this thread for a fix: http://forum.mtavc.com/viewtopic.php?t=11098
  11. What you hear from who? Some random guy in a chatroom? If cracking the client is so easy, why are you even asking for a mod-friendly version? Do you really think they're going to back down just because you threatened them?
  12. Sorry, I would have done but I don't have mod permissions in this forum.
  13. I love the way people try to make up rules in-game: "Hey, you can't shoot me from behind, lamer" "I was afk you :O" "You're not allowed to use the flamethrower" "Carkilling's for n00bs but it's ok when I do it" It's deathmatch... anything goes.
  14. It's called English. You seem to have no grasp of it whatsoever.
  15. When Blokker next comes online.
  16. The trouble is, it's difficult to tell if people genuinely believe it or are just being sarcastic.
  17. *sigh* P.S. MTA is also for GTA3.
  18. If I check the source of the page, there is no hidden text in Firefox. Edit: Disabling Adblock made it appear. That's weird, as I thought Adblock only blocked images.
  19. Hey, stop the flaming. I actually found this post useful because it was less subtle than Azer's post. I saw Azer's post, pressed Ctrl + A and saw nothing. I didn't know what he was talking about. It was only after discovering this post that I realised that the hidden message only seems to display in Internet Explorer.
  20. Woah, you really outdid yourselves this time
