  1. Well they don't invent a new core for each new version of MTA so the core will always have a lower version number. I remember there was a bit of confusion about that a long time ago which is probably why they changed the name to Blue.
  2. All I was saying is that you should be complaining to them about the error, not us. There are so many threads on this forum that have pages and pages of pointless repetition (the pausing thread in the Blue section for example); I don't want another one of those. P.S. I do agree though - it gives a summary of the current version of MTA and shows that pic so it could be misleading.
  3. Minimum specs leaked: http://www.planetgta.com In comparison, these are the specs for Vice City: Processor requirements aren't vastly different but RAM and graphics memory requirements have doubled.
  4. Same here. That's why I posted it. I also think it's hardly the team's fault if there's an error in an MTA article on another site. Which translates as: don't bring it up again.
  5. It's not anything that they did as such anyway.
  6. I suppose if all else fails, you could record it quietly, boost the volume and then filter out the noise. I'm not sure what the final quality will be like though.
  7. I checked out his IP and it wasn't banned, so problem solved (at least this problem anyway). Locked.
  8. Yeah, I think there should only be spawns that are specific to the gangs / characters on that map in single player. Schark, from what I've seen, there has been a fall in players overall but an increase in GTA3 players. When you say, "Top number of players is 10", I think that applied more to 0.4.1 Portland than 0.5 GTA3 as a whole. To be honest, it was mainly just the Partyserver and I could only ever have fun in the evenings (GMT) when lots of people were on. If I tried playing it during the day, there'd only be 3 or 4 other people. I think the overall drop in players may be due to the fact that many people have been put off by idiots saying "0.5 sucks" when they actually mean "0.5 VC DM sucks", which puts people off the game as a whole rather than just the VC DM aspect.
  9. It might be best to just search for it (Start > Search), and remember to select Search Hidden Files & Folders in the options.
  10. I think it may be something to do with the fact that getting in / getting out animations aren't synced. It's been like that for ages.
  11. I've just found this article: http://osdir.com/Article4775.phtml It's an interview with Cray, Kent, eAi and slush that was conducted about a month ago and I found it interesting because they said a lot of things that they'd never said publicly before. This in particular interested me: Edit: Btw, Lyons = eAi, Simon = Kent
  12. With regards to Portland, I don't think anyone would ever spawn as a garbage man as the garbage truck is just too slow. The other ones seem alright, but I'd bet that most people would spawn as Mafia. I think there should be more than 4 classes for Staunton, as it's a bigger island. The army base would be a good spot, although I'm not sure which vehicle(s) you would choose for it.
  13. The main problem with 0.5 SSV in my opinion is that most of the action seems to occur around the Yakuza spawn point. With the random spawn points in 0.4.1 Portland, this was not an issue. When I first played it, not long after 0.5 came out, I had a lot more fun because people were trying out the new game modes and fighting in all areas of the map. Now though, all anyone seems to do is cluster around the Yakuza spawn.
  14. Actually, a single player co-op mode is impossible because by definition, co-op involves more than one player. But yeah, pedantics aside, eAi said he may look into it post-Blue but there's no guarantee that it will ever be a feature.
  15. Er... I don't think you can ban yourself, but if you want me to check, PM me your IP.
  16. Why? It only has to load it once.
  17. Glue has been discussed many times and I believe eAi confirmed it for Blue.

    Unhandled Exception

I would have thought that would cause more problems.
  19. Yeah, but does having an "Experienced" rank on a forum in cyberspace help you in the real world? (that thing outside your door)
  20. Unfortunately that is rarely the case (which is where the problem with anti-carkilling lies).
  21. Hmmm... what's the catch?
  22. I think stunts are better in 0.5 though because you get insane stunt bonuses for them. Good. Staunton's actually my favourite map but unfortunately no-one else is playing it in 0.5.
