  1. Yes, that's correct. There's nothing more to say at this point but an update will be coming soon (not entirely sure when).
  2. You can host them for free at places like ImageShack: http://www.imageshack.us
  3. It's also due to limitations in the old MTA core.
  4. Sorry, the team do not give out release dates because of problems in the past. Sometimes unexpected things can crop up which impede progress. This affects commercial teams too - think of Half-Life 2 for example. Progress is good though, as we have reached beta stage. More info: http://www.mtavc.com/blog/
  5. You cannot exit your car but certain vehicles such as the Hunter can fire at others. You can have Hydra dogfights for example.
  6. As SA-MP is no more, I will lock this. You may create a new topic for Spookie's mod once he has something to show (see guidelines here: http://forum.mtavc.com/viewtopic.php?t=13778 ).
  7. You'd have to ask them how to get extra skins in their mod.
  8. There's no harm in making suggestions for later editions IMO.
  9. Some people don't like the idea of a race mode but we've actually had a lot of fun beta testing it. Deathmatch is planned for a later release.

    AMERICA'S ARMY

I have no problem with people talking about AA as long as it's in the General section and the number of threads on the subject are kept to a minimum.
  11. I remember Bump once saying that they weren't.
  12. Pedestrians and traffic weren't synced in GTA 1 and 2. Also Blue has significantly less lag than the old core that powers MTA 0.5.
  13. I have no idea who told you that but it won't be released tomorrow. The team never announce specific dates but they have stated that it will be released some time this month. They probably could support all islands with Blue. Blue also allows you to use mods made for it.
  14. There is a version planned at a later date for Vice City. This will be after the SA releases have reached a certain acceptable level. A GTA3 version is not planned yet but the team have stated that they will consider it if there is enough demand.
  15. The reason that islands are locked is because of technical issues when loading new maps and also because the community voted for that AGES ago (we're talking years). As for boats, they're not supported in the core that the current version of MTA uses. The new core, Blue (being used in MTA:SA), has support for boats. It's unlikely that there will be an update to GTA3 for a while though because they are concentrating on San Andreas.
  16. I used to have one of those. They're pretty cool, although I sold it and now use laptops instead of PCs because I prefer the portability.
  17. That's a problem with the core. Blue doesn't have that problem. They seem to use different methods of syncing passenger / spec mode than general car movement.
  18. MTA would need to be supported by Xfire. If I recall correctly, they said they'd like to support MTA when one of the devs emailed them but for some reason they still don't.
  19. They only tell you the fixed bugs for a patch so that you can apply it if you are affected by one of those bugs. There's no point in telling you what bugs are fixed because at the end of the day, it makes no difference to you until release. People will just say "Yeah, so what?"
  20. Magazine coverage would be nice when Blue is released.
  21. It's coming along pretty well. There haven't been more updates because there's nothing to update you guys on. We're still in beta and the team is still fixing bugs. Rest assured that it's coming soon though. I see no reason (and several other team members have said this) why it won't be released this month, although bear in mind that such an unforseeable reason could arise.
  22. Search through the registry (i.e. don't browse) for GTA, Grand Theft Auto, San Andreas, Rockstar and Take 2. Delete anything related to SA.
