It's flattering that people think it's worth paying for though.
-
They never promised that (in fact, quite the opposite). They hoped that VC Blue would be released before GTA SA was released but unfortunately this didn't happen.
-
Because it is integrated into GTA, Blue has more advanced cheat detection abilities.
-
Well, Blue can get around that if GTA runs serverside which is achievable with a Blue mod. There are several downsides though.

The ending demonstrated that you could put just about any model from the game into an MTA:SA race file. I see what you mean about it being bizarre though, although I did like the cow dangling from the crane
-
Anyway to make MTA be seen as a game in xfire?

Are you like a QA tester or something? Yeah, he is. -
Yeah, it's difficult to show you everything in a 2.5 min video.
-
Watch the end of the video.... it's not just streets and ramps. You can add ANYTHING, even explosive barrels. Btw, what were you actually expecting?

njr1489: When the new feature is revealed, you'll see why it took so long to implement. Pickup icons wouldn't take very long at all.

They're available from http://www.rockstargames.com/classics/

Erm... he didn't intentionally get hit by a truck. I think what you're trying to say is that we have no proof that this happened to him, yet no proof that it didn't happen.

Yes, many top-spec systems have this problem. The GTA3 engine draws everything, even things you can't see, so it can be a real performance hog. It was fixed in VC but it's a pity that they didn't patch III. It seems that some systems are affected by this problem more than others. I'm not sure why this is.

I'd personally like to see option 1. DM will take a long time so it'd be good to improve the race mod in order to keep people playing whilst DM is being created.
-
MTA:SA particularly with the new feature.
-
No-one knows at this stage. They want to get as much as possible out of San Andreas before moving to Vice City.

Pros: * Price * Size and weight * Powered by a single small battery Cons: * Resolution * No way of previewing pictures (which makes it not much different from a film camera IMO) * Only 4 MB memory, no way of upgrading it It's not bad for $12 but 640x480 isn't very big. It's normally the lowest resolution games offer. It'd be decent for MySpace pics as a lot of people use crappy phone cameras that are even worse but don't try to enlarge any images or they'll look really crappy. Also bear in mind that resolution isn't the only indicator of quality. The problem with cheap cameras is that they have no way of adjusting the aperture so pictures will only look good in certain lighting situations. It also has no flash so indoor stuff will NOT look good at all.

I've changed the title of this thread so that people don't confuse it with the official teaser that should be coming soon.
-
Yeah, they had a contest where they asked people to come up with the craziest monsters imaginable. One of them can apparently impersonate people so you'd suddenly hear a child crying or someone's voice when you're nearby...... creepy. Enemies also go about specific tasks and patrol areas rather than staying static until you're in range of them.

Oh yeah, I meant to remove one. Thanks for reminding me.

Ok, here's what to do (from the beginning): 1. Download the MTA 0.5 client from here: http://www.gonnaplay.com/fileInfo.php?g=201&f=23 2. Install it, making sure that your GTA3 and Vice City (if you have both) directories are correct. 3. I think it puts an icon on your desktop (can't remember). If so, double click it. If not, find the icon in the start menu. 4. I think it says something about it being a beta and that you should expect bugs to exist. Click Ok. 5. You should now see the main MTA dialog. Click the Servers button and a server list will appear. Find a server with some players in it and either double click it or select it and click Connect. 6. Once it has connected, click on Start Game. Note: You need GTA3 v1.1 in order to play. Get it here if you don't have it already: http://take2games.com/index.php?p=suppo ... on=patches
-
You are running the client, not the server, right?
-
Find the shortcut to MTA in the start menu and click it. When the dialog appears, click Servers and find a server with some players in it. Either double click it or single click it and then click Connect. Once it has connected, click Start Game.

DONT put peds in mta, and other ideas about having a economy
orappa replied to Ghost_of_sanand's topic in Suggestions
I think it's a great idea. I like the way that the server owners compete for players. I think there should be a centralised lobby system though so that people have an easy way of comparing prices on competing servers. -
I do... How do you know it will be crap? Play it and THEN judge it. I've played it and I certainly don't think it's crap - far from it. None of the other beta testers do either.
