  1. Highly unlikely due to the sheer amount of bandwidth it would take up. In my opinion, it would take much of the fun out of standard deathmatch and stunt though (but would be useful for other modes, such as co-op).
  2. http://forum.mtavc.com/viewtopic.php?p=127224#127224
  3. But wouldn't MTA:MA be better off if it was converted to C++ so as to better interface with the mod?
  4. I'm sure they'll balance it. I think that the reason they're releasing such a massive update is so that they'll have more time for fine tuning in future versions. I mean, I can't really think of many things that they haven't covered in this new core.
  5. They've got a new escape menu (shown in the screenshots). Presumably this allows for that.
  6. I believe that it lists the programs at the end of the clip, if I remember rightly. Also, fraps is normally used for capturing.
  7. I was expecting some pretty nifty features in the new core, but the huge range of them just made my jaw drop (literally). I have a couple of questions though: 1. I noticed that there is no mention of GTA3, nor are there any GTA3 screenshots. Will GTA3 and VC still be supported in the same client? 2. On the server browser pic, it says "Connection: 56k". Does this only affect the number of packets that the browser sends out, or does it make a difference in-game? 3. I don't really know much about GTA-related programming, but I've heard you say before that MTA had the maximum number of cars that the main.scm would allow. Does this mean that there are now more cars (and possibly players) available? 4. I thought that you'd still start up the MTA client as usual, but instead of coming up with the normal dialog, it would just start the game. Do you mean that when you start VC normally, there's actually a "multiplayer" option on the menu? You've done a great job. I particularly like the new pause menu, presumably to stop pausers. The console's a great idea, and the whole mod sounds a lot like many commercial titles. I also like the way that it says "Packet loss: 0%" in all of the screenshots.
  8. I believe that San Andreas was a speculative title, along with Sin City. http://www.mtasc.com/ Interesting...
  9. It's not like it has to find it, just put in the client the registry directory and you're set. What, you mean the user has to type a long number each time they want to play?
  10. But the MTA client would also have to have a way of finding it out of the millions of other keys.
  11. Or delete it. I'm sure someone will create a tool to remove it. Blocking by hardware ID would be good though (i.e. the serial number of a hard disk or something similar).
  12. What, do you mean who's paying for it?
  13. There are anti-cheat measures in place, but that is no substitute for a good admin, which is what most people look for in a server.
  14. I'm presuming that they registered the domain in order to prevent cybersquatting. "Soon" is a bit misleading though, as SA hasn't even been officially announced for PC yet. And even after it's released, they'll have to conduct feasibility testing before starting to develop it, to determine if it's even possible.
  15. What about the servers with 24/7 admin control?
  16. Surely it's the people in the server's fault then, and not ours?
  17. Er... what? That is the stupidest thing from a "smart modder" that I've ever heard.
  18. This is worse than that MTABOT thing. Does this trainer only work on servers running Admin+? I haven't seen a great deal of servers running it, so hopefully that is the case.
  19. Oh, my reply was to the question before that. I think the MTA:LC mod is illegal. Oh and yeah, I meant GTA3:MTA.
  20. No, I don't understand it either really. I know that they set up PetsOvernight.com for GTA3, so could this Epsilon Program be something similar?
  21. I can't answer that, as it's a matter of opinion. GTA3 is more focused on action, with only a single, smaller, island. It also has Ammunations where you can buy weapons and working Pay 'n' Sprays. It's a lot of fun. Vice City deathmatch has a more tactical approach, with a class-based system. It also has stunt mode I'd suggest trying out both.
  22. Interesting... http://topic.news.filefront.com/9537;/Rockstar_Hints/
