  1. I've just seen a topic where someone was confused because MTA came up with the "Unable to detect your version. Defaulting to 1.0" dialog. Will Blue detect the version automatically, or will all users have to have v1.1 (like in GTA3:MTA)? And if it's the former, does this mean that no-cd cracks will no longer work? If so, that will be annoying because I will have to buy 2 more versions of VC.
  2. Will the RC cars have people in them like the screenshots I posted above, or would they be like in SP?
  3. Yeah, that would be really unfair. From what I've seen of Blue, it seems to be geared towards attracting more people to MTA. Many community suggestions seem to be about doing the opposite, such as this one and the one to not allow dialup users to connect to any servers.
  4. What about mods that aren't synced and don't offer any advantages? For example, the default weapon icons in Tribes 2 are monochrome. I downloaded a mod that gives you colour icons. It doesn't offer any advantages at all, but I just prefer them coloured. It would be annoying with MTA if such a simple thing restricted the servers I could join. Also, slothman, why on earth would you want to join a server for a mod that you don't have? I don't think they would allow this as it could lead to some pretty weird results.
  5. In this thread: http://forum.mtavc.com/viewtopic.php?t=9566
  6. Yeah, mutators would be great but MTA:Blue only supports one mod loaded at a time (at the moment anyway).
  7. Well, they said that there are no external exe files to launch, which must mean that there's an option on the GTA menu... unless you have to launch GTA with certain command-line parameters.
  8. But will it support more than 26 though? It says in the mtaserver.conf file that it originally supported 32, but you cut it down to 26 for stability reasons (if I remember correctly).
  9. But wouldn't everyone do that then, and hence it's pointless for dialup users to try to play? They have improved the netcode, so dialup users will have less of an advantage.
  10. Not that i doubt you, or your abilities, but how can this be? R* hasn't even confirmed a pc version yet (hell, ps2 version isnt even done!), so either your not taking chances and planning ahead, or you know something we don't. But i'm glad your considering it. Blue looks great so far! can't wait I think it's a precaution so that someone else doesn't register it and try to sell it for a high price (supply and demand) to the MTA team (known as cybersquatting).
  11. If you want the remote IP, just go to http://www.whatismyip.org/ You wouldn't need admin access to do that.
  12. Yeah, but the main thing is that it supports 96 (or more) players
  13. If it support 96 players ill send you my pants. Well... wasn't the MTA player limit due to limitations in the SCM? And now they're not using the SCM, so who knows, maybe they can.
  14. They haven't announced this yet, and they probably won't. Money is featured in GTA3:MTA, so I don't see why it wouldn't be featured in MTA:Blue. Also, I'm not sure that the team will do anything MMORPG-related, but Blue will be fully moddable, so someone else may.
  15. Does he mean "predicted" instead of "projected" perhaps? I don't know where you got that date from, as a PC version still hasn't been officially declared by Rockstar (although there will almost certainly be one). Their site only lists Playstation 2.
  16. No, that's not what he means. You can fire up GTA, change resolution and then start a new game. If you try to do that in MTA, it crashes.
  17. Another quote from the FAQ: You can have as many as you like.
  18. Quote from FAQ: This would imply that MTA only displays servers for the mod that you choose, hence there would be no need to download it as you'd already have it. I expect they'll have links on the site to popular mods.
  19. Is there any chance of support for other server browsers?
  20. projected release date is may 2005 What do you mean "projected release date"?
  21. Why would you be prepared to download a mod for MTA that does it, yet you wouldn't be prepared to download an external program that does it?
  22. Standard deathmatch may not even have rocket launchers.
