Did no-one notice this picture? It would be good if they also disabled keys such as the Windows key, Alt + Tab, etc. to stop people pausing that way.

I would have thought it was easier to make it for PC and then port it to consoles, for the sole reason that they can patch it. Take Thief 3 for example - it had a bug where the difficulty would reset itself, and there was nothing they could do for the console version.

Yeah, I have 2 hard discs and I find that it's easiest to keep all of my previous files on the second one and Windows and all of my programs that I don't mind losing on the first.

But in the PC version you can run it in higher resolutions and switch on AA (not in-game, but manually via your graphics card's control panel), so the sharp edges won't exist.

Are you trying to make an exact image of the drive (if so, try Symantec DriveImage) or just back up certain files?

I don't see what the big deal is. You take exactly the same risk when you download a mod for, say Half-Life, or when you download anything executable for that matter (e.g. a utility from download.com). It concerns me that a lot of your suggestions may limit unscrupulous users, yet they will also limit those with a legitimate use for a particular function. Also, btw, a lot of virus scanners can detect "virus-like activity" and flag up a message to the user. I'm not sure how effective this is though.

No problems at all there. If it's more than 1.2GHz, it should be ok.

I think they'll probably have a "Top 50 mods" page or something similar. Also, Counter-Strike only comes with other mods when you have the CD version, as they would make the download size even bigger.

Yeah, of course not. I don't mind paying for 2 more versions of VC (I already paid for XP for my other PC so that I could play MTA on it), it's just annoying to have so many CDs lying about for one game.

The German version of VC was censored, so the exe file was changed. This causes problems with MTA. The only way to fix it at the moment is to obtain an English uncensored exe file (and no, we can't tell you where).

Why would he be working on another multiplayer mod? It seems pointless to me.

Sniper rifles and miniguns are synced. Modding just means modifying, so that could be anything from a total conversion (e.g. GTA: Liberty City), to a CTF mod like you said, or even just a mod to remove the radar (e.g. for stealth games). Everyone on the server would have the mod, so it would not be unfair.

1. They're adding the skimmer. 2. People are allowed to mod with C++. It's not going to be some hack-fest where everyone cheats. It's exactly the same as playing Half-Life with mods such as CS, TFC, etc. 3. They're adding RC cars too. 4. MTA is a beta anyway. There will be a private test later on with trusted people from IRC.

The most common cause of this is not running on Windows XP or 2000. Do you also have MTA 0.4.1 and a clean install of VC with no cracks and no mods or trainers?

Try closing all other applications. An application with the word "trainer" in it (whether it's a trainer or not) can trigger that.
